John made me feel very welcome the moment i arrived, and helped me with free parking. He cooks a very good breakfast every morning at a great price, and the hotel was very peaceful at night. My room was great, and the bed was very comfortable, with an en-suite shower room. I'm not much of a TV watcher, so being able to access Youtube on the telly was a bonus! As well as being very quiet and relaxing, Smugglers Rest is in a fantastic location, literally 2 minutes walk from Newquay town centre. I personally booked my stay as a holiday, to go bodyboarding, and the location is great for access to Fistral, Towan and Great Western beaches all within walking distance. I hope to stay again at the Smugglers Rest soon, thank you for a wonderful stay!

Good central location, very comfortable sleeping. Thoroughly looked after by John & all at breakfast & throughout my stay.
Shower cubicle was a bit small with fairly low pressure.
