Equipped with High Speed Internet and Cable TV. Linens and Full Service Kitchen! Convenient and easy! Spring, Summer and Fall book up quickly in New Buffalo! Schedule a weekday visit even for a change of “work from home” scenery. It’s quite lovely taking a lunchtime stroll through New Buffalo, maybe stopping in at the lakefront for a peaceful moment. In the Fall / Winter, enjoy kayaking (we come equipped with 2 kayaks!), hikes in Warren Dunes, cross-country skiing, long beautiful winter walks simply downtown are delightful as well! Restaurants aren’t busy in the spring, winter and fall, and every time you choose to take a small day trip to a different neighboring town near us, there will be a cozy, peaceful vibe - no need to rush and no worries about waiting in lines. Spring, Fall and Winter happen to be our very favorite time in New Buffalo. Rates are lower in the Spring and Winter months as demand is lower - you will be pleasantly surprised by a cozy getaway to SW Michigan in the off-season or anytime! We had a wonderful time at 222! Everything about our stay was easy and comfortable. The house is close to all the restaurants, shops and beach, but still in a quiet neighborhood. This house also has one of the best porches in the neighborhood for drinking coffee in the morning and catching up with good friends at night!

My spouse and four little ones enjoyed our stay so much! We appreciated that there were 2 adult bikes at the property to use, and our children all brought their own. We could bike to the beach, restaurants, shop, you name it.. so easy. You could also walk, but our children loved that they could bike everywhere. The pool was very close to the house which was perfect. Very cozy neighborhood setting. Everyone we met was very friendly. The house was very comfortable and clean.

I reserved this VRBO for a girls weekend getaway and the pictures online did reflect what we saw in person. It was a great location for getting to downtown New Buffalo and the beach. Host was very responsive via the VRBO website in the weeks and days up to our arrival. I think the "owners manual" for the home needed updating, though. And one of the showers needed fixing. With a couple of minor tweaks, I would definitely reserve that home again.

Nice location and adorable home. We loved having bedrooms on 3 levels to spread out for sleeping. The beds were very comfortable. We had read a review that the skylight window was a problem in that the room was too bright in the morning. We did not find it to be a problem. There was a tree that blocked direct sunlight from coming in.
The kitchen table was great for playing games. We also enjoyed having coffee and wine on front porch. It was walking distance to beach, restaurants and the marina. We were also able to walk to grocery store. The home was well stocked with beach towels and beach chairs. We never figured out how to use the coffee maker (Bunn) so ended up getting Starbucks each morning. That was only issue we had at all. However, we are not patient people and so really didn’t try too hard to figure it out. We have a Mr. Coffee and a Kuerig at home and those are the ones that we are used to. Every morning on our walk for coffee we would laugh that the next day we would figure out coffee maker before going to bed. Then would be having too much fun to figure it out. We hope to stay there again when we visit New Buffalo in the future. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home!

We had a wonderful celebration and want to come back next year. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The front porch was perfect for gathering and drinking morning coffee. We enjoyed walking to the beach, downtown New Buffalo and the grocery store.

Such a nice house in a cute neighborhood! Walking distance to everything including beach, restaurants and downtown. We had 4 couples (8 adults) and we had plenty of room. Enjoyed the beach chairs and beach wagon provided in garage!

Repeat Visitor
We’ve stayed here 3-4 times now and it never disappoints. The location is PERFECT for everything you’d want to do in New Buffalo. Access to the pool is a huge plus with the younger kids. Access to dining and nightlife is a huge plus with the adults. The beach is a win for everyone! The home is always clean and well appointed. The owners are always available for questions. We’re already looking forward to 2023.

Our family rented four units — three together, the fourth a little distance away. Each unit provided wonderful accommodations for each of our needs. We could not have asked for a better experience. I would go back to New Buffalo and your houses anytime.

Charming house in great location
8 of us stayed very comfortably and loved this house! Beds were nice - even the pullout bed. Kitchen had everything we needed. Hosts were great to work with and provided beach towels and chairs and bikes and more. My only complaint was that the skylight shade in our bedroom was missing. Walkable to everything. Would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed visiting New Buffalo and staying in this cottage! It’s in a perfect location - an easy walk to town for restaurants, ice cream & shopping and a close walk or drive to the beach. The cottage was very nice - clean & comfortable - and we enjoyed the front porch & the neighborhood is very quiet and safe. I would definitely recommend this home and would love to stay here again!

My daughter got married at Journeyman Distillery and I’m so glad that we stayed at Lori’s home rather than a hotel. Their home was very clean and perfect for us. 15 minutes to Three Oaks and 15 minutes to Michigan City. Lori went above and beyond as a host and i would highly recommend.
