A classy cottage with 4 bedroom and 3.5 bath within the popular Merchant Street Cottage Development. This luxury cottage has everything – plenty of living space for large groups, a private hot tub, steps away from downtown, walkable to the beach and all the amenities you need to create wonderful memories. Cottage "M" is designed for a large family or a group vacation. Starting with an open concept kitchen/dining/living area with a gas fireplace on the first floor and entertainment room on the lower level. Enjoy a glass of wine in our wrap around screened in porch, while you gather with your family or friends for a "Pure Michigan" evening. Enjoy the private hot tub and an outdoor shower to rinse off right out the back door. Just steps away, you can access the community pool – but not too close so you can relax on the front porch while enjoying your favorite beverage in a quiet setting. As you enter the house, you will find a large dining room table with comfortable seating for 8. The gourmet kitchen is to your left that includes additional seating at the counter and top-notch appliances with lots of cabinets and counter space. Virtually everything you need has been thought of. Off the kitchen, you will find a living area that includes a large Sony TV and gas fireplace with comfortable seating to gather with family and friends. A powder room, office area, and large master bedroom with cozy bedding and generous closet space, is also located on the first level. The ensuite master bathroom includes a double sink and a steam shower - an added bonus for sure! Downstairs is where you will find a large entertainment area with a family room and Sony TV with more comfortable seating to gather. Why not enjoy a game of pool or play games? It’s a perfect spot for both. This room is a warm, cozy area to gather on a rainy day or a cold winter night. On the same floor, there is a large queen bedroom with plenty of closet space and an ensuite bathroom with double sinks, and a shower/tub. The laundry room equipped with a Samsung washer and dryer is located on this level too. On the second floor, you will find 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The first bedroom is beyond large and includes 2 full beds and a large closet with shelving. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a spacious closet also with shelving. The hallway bathroom includes a shower with double sinks. The second floor also includes a loft space. The attached garage is all yours for your stay and you can easily park two more cars in the driveway. Also included in the garage are beach chairs, beach wagon, two bikes, paddle board and paddle board trailer, 4 pickle ball rackets and spike net. So much fun awaits you. Cottage "M" is just a short 5-minute walk to Starbucks, Stray Dog, Casey’s, Brewster’s…. and don’t forget the magnificent Lake Michigan beach. Our location is ideal in so many ways. We love staying at merchant street cottages due to proximity to restaurants and the beach. I really appreciated this one because of all the bathrooms with double sinks and other amenities that really made this property a fantastic one for comfort. This is an impeccably decorated home. It felt like a home away from home, thank you!!

Cottage M provided the perfect place for relaxation and family entertaining. The location is perfect for walking to downtown New Buffalo and the beach. Super comfy beds, nice quality towels and linens. The community pool is enjoyable and just one house away. We look forward to returning next year!

This was a family vacation. There were 11 attendees, ages 10 to 76. Our cottage was very clean and well appointed. Great location. We were able walk or bike to everything New Buffalo had to offer, beach, shopping, bars and restaurants. A large grocery store was a 5 minute walk. New Buffalo is a very nice little town. Highly recommend staying in a location that is walkable to beach and town.

Wonderful place for a Lake Michigan vacation! The house was well-appointed and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of room for all four generations of our family to either gather together or find quiet spots to branch off. We enjoyed the hot tub and the nearby pool and were able to walk to the beach, the store, restaurants, cute local library, and playgrounds. We also went to the zoo, a boat tour, kayaking, and splashpad - so much to do close by. Mary was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

This house was excellent. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. We made the easy trek over from Chicago, and the location of this house was ideal. Walkable to town for coffee, restaurants, etc. and the house itself was perfect for three couples. Highly, highly recommend. Also, shoutout to Mary, the property manager who was responsive with the handful of questions we had throughout the weekend.

The house is very nice, clean, and stocked with all our needs. We enjoyed the proximity to town and the beautiful neighborhood. We slept 6 adults very comfortably and enjoyed having 3 showers as well. The property manager was easy to get ahold of and very prompt with questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the M Cottage was so lovely. We opted for a post-Christmas getaway and the M Cottage was the perfect location. We had amble space to eat, relax and even a few worked at the desk. The rooms and closets were large - just like the photos. Beds were super comfortable and towels were soft. I especially appreciated all of the baby/toddler gear provided. We were traveling with my 2 yo and didn't have to bring a thing outside of a pack & play sheet. They even had children's dishes and silverware. Much appreciated! The location to town can't be beat. It is within walking distance to the entire downtown. New Buffalo had so much to offer, even in the middle of winter. We went sledding twice, enjoyed a few breweries and even walked the beach. Communication with the host was easy and everything from check-in to check-out was a breeze. We already are looking to come back in the summer to enjoy the community pool. Thanks for a great stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Merchant Cottage M. It is newly renovated with comfortable furniture and stylish finishes; extremely clean and laid out well for two families to spend the weekend together relaxing, playing games and catching up.

We enjoyed our trip to this home quite a bit. The layout worked well for our family, with grandparents being able to stay in the master on the first floor and kids upstairs in those very cute rooms. We weren't able to use the basement bedroom, or the living space at all down there, due to wet carpet and concern about mold. The kitchen is larger than it appears in the pictures and had everything we needed. The town of New Buffalo is always an enjoyable time!

We had 10 girls Stay here for a weekend trip. The beds and all details including soaps toiletries, kitchen supplies was EXCELLENT!! The beds were the BEST we've ever stayed in and with 10 girls it was PEREFECT. So close to town (just a 5 minute walk) and close to wineries, lake casino and outlet mall shopping.We will be back again thank you for everything .

The VRBO listing was exact except for the check out time. VRBO stated 1100 but the contract stated 1000. The property manager was very responsive and said we could check out at 1100. She was great!

The house was perfect & just as described. We loved the pool table, hot tub and all the extra little touches and things included which made it feel more like home. This home was perfect for our family. The house provided so many extras. It was incredible. There were so many options for the grandkids to be entertained, the hot tub in the backyard, community pool just steps away and the beach just blocks away. It was the great getaway for our family. Also, we took many evening walks into town for ice cream. Great location to everything.

This home was perfect for our visit. We parked our car and walked everywhere for 7 days! The house is upgraded and truly a luxury experience. We have been visiting NB for 3 years and this was our best experience so far! Our children 6, 6, and 8 enjoyed the pool steps from the home along with nightly ice cream walks! Can’t wait to book this again soon!
