Visually this cabin is fantastic. Unfortunately there were a couple things that weren’t so great that led to a subpar stay. The beds were cheap and uncomfortable, poorly placed sheets that slide off as you slept, quilts were warm, but there weren’t any extra bedding sets. Shower curtain didn’t fit the shower, water sprayed out a bit. The towel policy is ridiculous. Bleach and clean them. They aren’t worth $6-$24 if they accidentally get soiled or stained, they are towels. Mix and match of cups and dishware, along with poorly cared for pots and pans. Invest in stainless steel pans, easy to clean. No broom and pan for the shuffle board table. The heater electronic panel appears to have some water damage. And last but not least the couch in the living area was not comfortable or cozy, futon style couch where the back support pillows fall off easily.

The home has a nice and open floor plan, and the exterior deck at the front is super nice. There are three bedrooms, with two having access to the backyard which was nice. The back yard has a single chair and hot tub. It could really be nice if it was landscaped and add a table and chairs. Also, a step for hot tub is needed.
The house seemed clean but as we sat down to eat, the table had not even been wiped. The floors were also super dirty. A damp papertowel swiped on the floor was black.
Dishwasher was broken which was fine, but no sponges were left. Had to buy one. Refrig was great! The kitchen lacked a lot- no scissors, several items that seemed to be from dollar store or that was the quality. I write this so the owners can know in case they haven’t stayed in the home recently that adding higher quality items would be awesome.
The living room couch was comfy. An additional chair would be nice.
The group who we checked in with was great and super responsive.
Overall a nice stay but a little investment could make this a 5/5.

Nice location and nice home but could have been better. We reported several issues after checking in and only 2 were taken care of our entire visit. I expected better for what we paid. You are required to start the dishwasher before checkout but the dishwasher doesn't even work! The hot tube was nice but not easy way to get in and out other then climb over the side. Would have loved to eat on the patio but with the blinding sun we asked where the umbrella is and were told we have no idea. Wouldn't rent again

This was a very clean and family friendly property. Nicely furnished but not "overly" furnished which is important when traveling with a toddler. We would happily recommend this to anyone traveling with kids, young and old. Central location and very comfortable.

The property was located near everything. Whether we wanted to grab a bite, go for a hike, or get groceries we had easy access and less than 5 minutes from everything. House was clean and had all the necessities for my family. Didn’t expect it, but the crib cake in really handy. Would definitely stay here again.

- Lots of extras around the house than what was expected (more toilet paper, trashbags, more kitchen supplies, etc)

- walking distance to just about anything - food, market, rentals, activities
- great communications with the office
- convenient code access without requiring physical keys
- love the arcade game
- quiet neighborhood
- clean bathrooms
- like the two large screen TVs
- great wifi!
what we didn't like as much:
- The photos do add more volume to the place than what we encountered in-person
- the beds were not the most comfortable
- the curtains for the two back rooms were too transparent - if you go outside at night, you can clearly see inside when the room was lit up. We ended up temporarily covering it up with a bed sheet
- some ants here and there. We left a spoon out in the sink and it attracted ants the next day
- very large list of requirements - everything from strict noise ordinance to trash dropoff to light cleaning, etc. It may be that I'm just new to VRBO type of rentals coming from hotel stays in the past
- the adjacent properties were very close - while the jacuzzi was in the backyard and private, it was much so because the adjacent properties were vacant. If there had been people there, they would have been able to see in

The Cabin an overall property was great!
Backyard for the dogs and teens to play.
But when arriving we slipped on the icy driveway; steps and porch!!! Management said they would have someone come and take care of this problem, but no one ever showed up.

We loved our stay. Communication was easy as well as check in. I stayed with an 11mo old and was happy to see a crib, high chair along with kid friendly utensils and plates. Great open space to share with family

The kitchen had just basic cooking supplies and salt/spices. The cooking utensils and knives were fairly flimsy so bring your own if you'll be doing more extensive cooking.

The backyard is fenced in and was nice for the kids to run around and have snowball fights. Hottub was clean and worked well.
For check-in, you have to stop by their office in town to sign a paper and they email you the entry code. We waited around until the 4pm check-in time and no email so we called a couple times and finally got through to someone who gave us the code.

Cozy cabins in the woods
Nice property, work perfect for our family. I would stay here again. Good location. It lacked kitchen cookware and utensils but we made it work. It was also unseasonably HOT and there’s no AC in Big Bear but we made it work. They had ceiling fans in all the rooms and a few other fans. Video game system and shuffle bird was a big hit for the kids.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at the house. Everything is turnkey low maintenance, clean and very well done. Close to slopes and all amenities in town. We really would have appreciated more quality pots pans and cooking utensils during our stay. Other than that everything was wonderful.

Sleeper sofa was so uncomfortable (you could feel every spring) so two guests slept on the sofa instead. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. Overall our stay was good, we would return.

Weekend Getaway - COVID style
There were 8 of us on this trip. 6 kids ages 4 to 14. The checkin process was easy & the place was clean. Fridge & cupboards are bare so bring all condiments etc. the kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils needed to cook. They have a Kuerig ❤️.
