We were very comfortable at the family-run Hotel Alberi, and the staff greeted us warmly each day. Their concern to meet our every need was appreciated, even down to small details like providing us with a kettle in our room, and gluten-free bread and muffins at breakfast. The breakfast was fine - typical Italian buffet and good coffee. The room has plentiful storage space - shelves, drawers and hanging space, and there are a good number of power points where needed. The bed is a little on the hard side, and the pillow too - I guess it's a question of personal taste and habit. Lecco is a very pretty town encircled by mountains, and the Alberi is centrally located on the main promenade looking out over the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days there, and were made to feel at home.
Nothing major troubled us. We did notice a slight unfresh smell in the bathroom from the drains.

Stayed 14 years ago and it was lovely to see it’s still family run. Beautiful location facing the lake. Staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Room was clean and had a large bathroom. All amenities required for a comfortable stay were available.
A few teenagers / young adults were hanging around and smoking in nearby buildings which made it feel slightly unsafe but it could all just be my perception and they were harmless. Breakfast was slightly catered towards adults rather than younger children.

Close to the station and water
Hard beds one flat pillow. The heating stayed on day and night we couldn’t turn it off. Awful toilet paper and small shower
