Hotel is lovely, in a great location. Breakfast was great, a good selection.
The bedroom was very sparse - could have done with a coffee machine, and more water - only one small can and a coke. Especially given the amount charged per night.
The bistro did not take bookings, so was first come first serve - I had to wait over an hour to eat

Nice surprise as we did not expect such a lovely hotel. Cosy and clean room. Very friendly ladies in reception.
Nice walk up to nearby Castel Peñafiel.
As we stayed only on Sunday afternoon and night almoust all was closed and hard to find place for dinner.

Pigeons made a lot of noise

The exteriors are ok, nice old restored building. The interiors with some light and many shadows. People who works there are kind and gentle. The breakfast buffet is very acceptable.
Poor accessibility design overall, the Spa is minimal
(hardly 4p) and very expensive(28 € pp for 45 min), the main access is ridiculous, overall for disabled guests or in chaotic situations. To accede to the main elevator you have to go inside a restaurant.
The standard rooms has a very comfortable king size bed but the rest of the room is horrible and gives you the sensation that it has a initial good design but during it has been modified by taking decisions with no sense.
The access to the bath could be very dangerous over all for elder people, slippery, to manage the faucets to have to go inside the bath. You can see your couple doing poo due to the methacrylate bathroom walls.
There is a winery cellar linked to to the hotel’s brand that gives you a discount, but it’s minimal respecting to others wineries with similar prices and much better facilities to enjoy a guided visit.
