This is a type of accomodation which made our stay in Iceland such a wonderful experience - the homey, welcoming feeling, like you are visiting relatives. From the look and decor of the house, taking off your shoes inside the property and chatting with the owners at breakfast - we loved it all. The house has a lot of history and plenty of details that remind you that this is a family home and that it has been here for a long long time. Our room was a bit on the smaller side (for the 4 of us and our 2 large pieces of luggage), but that wasn't a problem at all. We were located at the top floor of the house and we had great views of the beautiful nature from our windows. Beds were very comfortable and we slept like babies. The shared bathroom was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was simple but fulfilling, there were sweet and savoury options and fresh fruit and yoghurts. We had our breakfast in a beautiful room with wonderful furniture and the owners came to greet us and chat with us, which we loved. We only stayed for one night, but our experience was great and we would definitely recommend this accomodation.

Good location and friendly guesthouse. Clean room and easy check in/ check out. The curtains left something to be desired in the summer since it remains bright at night, but otherwise we had a lovely stay.

We stopped here because of the convenient location. This is a somewhat dated house with plenty of old time artifacts. Nice owners, decent breakfast, quiet location.
The kitchen is tiny, if one couple is cooking – you will need to wait until they are done.
