We stayed downstairs, which has an expansive shared living space. It is absolutely awesome with al sorts of memorabilia and compfy couches and a sprawling shared kitchen.
Perfect location.
Luxuriously outfitted - like a luxury upscale hotel.
Our favorite place to stay on our ring road trip.
No self check in, so make sure you can use your phone to call to meet the manager to check in.
Slight smell of incense - may be great for some or may bother some.
Water slightly smells of sulfur - but that is true for the entire town.

Absolutely fantastic. We were greeted by the owner, who gave us a small tour of this special building. The apartment itself was spacious, very comfortable, and quiet. Excellent dinner at the related restaurant with beautiful sunset overlooking the bay. Perfect base for a Snaesfellsnes day trip, and stop on the ring road trip.
