We were staying in Naples for two nights to meet friends and the location of Barbara's apartment was perfect. It would only be a six or seven minute walk to the harbour for the hydrofoils to the islands and the Amalfi Coast. It was also in a great position to walk up to cafes and restaurants in the old part of town. We managed to visit at the height of summer so the air conditioning was a godsend! The bed was really comfortable! And we had a smart TV which could access 'Youtube' - a bonus if Italian TV is difficult to understand...
In reality we liked almost everything... On arrival Barbara had sent me photos of the building from the port and photos of the front door so we couldn't make a mistake... Sadly we arrived on a Sunday and all the shop fronts were shuttered so it all looked different - my fault for not realising. Also I was trying to get into the building from the main street until I realised that the main door to the building is on the side street (again my own fault for not reading the instructions properly). The lift has an interesting system of having to use 10 cents to operate (but Barbara did provide a RFID chip to override the payment system). The lift is a little small if you have a lot of luggage so more than one trip may be necessary but these are minor gripes. And be aware that the sanitary plumbing system throughout the area cannot accommodate toilet paper so this must be put in the bin rather than flushed! This is not uncommon in southern Italy so not really a mark down on Barbara's place

We had a very nice stay in Napoli and the property was very close to the Napoli Port, which was a big advantage for us. Clean room, and the host was very friendly and helpful: Barbara let us check in very late and at check out we could store our luggages for more hours. Totally recomment it, thank you!

My window can see Mt Vesuvius, the cruise ship centre & capri island. (Not every room has this view.)
It’s very fun watching cruise ship leaves the port before we sleep and wake up to a new cruise ship arrives at the port!
Nice sized bathroom, clean. But no towel bar to hang a change of clothes or to drip-dry a few pieces of hand washed clothing.
