Charmantes Herrenhaus, sehr zuvorkommender Services, Verkehrsrauschen im Hintergrund

Sehr herzlicher Empfang. Sehr hundefreundlich. Alles sehr sauber. Charmantes Herrenhaus mit altem Charme. Kleine Auswahl, aber sehr leckeres Frühstück. Das Restaurant war leider geschlossen. In 10-15 Minuten erreicht man zu Fuß die Innenstadt.

Der Blick aus dem Fenster ging auf ein wenig attraktives Nachbargebäude. Teilweise wurde das eigene Grundstück als Abstellfläche genutzt. Leider ist das Fahrgeräusch einer stark befahrenen Bundesstraße im Hintergrund permanent zu hören, wenn die Fenster geöffnet sind.

Never again

Nel disagio generale e nel senso di inospitalità percepito difficile trovare qualcosa da apprezzare.

After informing us of check-in times (before 3pm or after 5.30pm) the owners of the Auberge received an invitation to dinner (their restaurant was evidently closed for renovations) and so our arrival for 6.30pm-7pm suddenly became a badly tolerated nuisance. On arrival the welcome was hasty and bordering on rude (with the landlady who, perhaps assuming that we were not very bright, asked her husband how to translate the word gate into Italian instead of explaining to us that the said gate was electric and the insertion of the small key served to activate and graduate the opening). Left there with the keys to the room, the house and the gate, they finally left for dinner (I guess an important invitation). In the evening we also returned from dinner and smelled a strong smell of gas (the kind you get when you turn off the cooker flame) but there was no one to ask. We sent a message and received no reply. In the morning we received a ridiculous explanation, insulting to our and their intelligence. A very unpleasant episode because the smell of gas is an alarm, not a mere nuisance. Breakfast was simply inadequate in quality and choice. Not buffet style but served at the table, we had to ask for water. If you have a restaurant, how can you not think that perhaps in addition to fruit juice (one glass) and coffee (one cup) the customer might also be thirsty for water? It is not enough to have a 'charming' establishment, there are hundreds of them in France, you must also have a solid culture of service and customer satisfaction or you will end up basking in the idea of greatness without being truly professional in your work. Excellent place to stay just other side of river from the crowds

Lovely old building. Felt very safe close to city. Comfortable bedroom with excellent AC which could be set to minimal noise at night. Amazing boat for evening meals just beside gate and excellent meal at hotel on last night. Lovely staff and family around. Would be delighted to stay again

A lovely house in a quiet location across the river. Service could be improved.

The villa is lovely and the ambience is very relaxing. It is actually a short walk to the old city across the bridge.

We had to leave early (around 7 am). There was no breakfast, coffee or any food before 8:30 am. This was a bit disappointing. Even if something could be left the night before would have been appreciated.

Great food and warm hospitality in a classic Provencal setting

Wonderful place with warm and hospitable staff. Everything exceeded our expectations: the room, the amenities, the amazing dinner, the setting.

Mosquitoes and wasps! We were bothered by wasps that insisted on stealing some of the food off our plates during dinner outside; otherwise it was a truly gourmet meal in a beautiful setting.

Perfect stay

The hosts were amazing, first night we dined at the restaurant la Treille, amazing experience. Away from the main city, about 20-25 min walk or 5min drive to the center of Avignon

Exceptional

Great room in an old manor close to the city center . Big bathroom with shower and bathtub. Tasty breakfast and great service. Free private parking is available as well.

Charming, a fun adventure, very French and authentic

It was a very quaint B&B, we had the grand chambre en suite. very nice and cool during the heat. The Wine Bateau restaurant docked on the river nearby was really great.

communication, but that was our poor French! The hike to town was ok but due to the heat, less so, but c'est la vie.

We liked the location and the owner was very helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to a death in the family however the owner very kindly drove us to the town where we had a good meal.

Wonderful ambience

We dined on a beautiful terrace, delicious food & the following morning pottered down the Lane & over the bridge into Avignon. The chef also did a lovely child’s meal for our 4 year old.

The bed was very comfortable, the staff is friendly and the garden is lovely. The parking is really convenient and easy to access.

The air conditioning kept turning on every few minutes all night long, despite our attempts to turn it off for good. It made it quite difficult for us to sleep. There was a window to the room in the bathroom, without glass or any kind of closing device, so going to the loo became a more public experience that what one might desire for it to be :)

Spectacular old world charm only 3 minute drive to Avignon

We had a great stay at Auberge de la Treille. Very warm and inviting. In addition to staying at the small hotel we had dinner in the garden which was fantastic. Great quiet place with old world charm.
