Nice hotel in the old town, so great location. The room was nice with a massive & very comfy bed! We were there during a festival which I assume pushed prices up, so expensive for what it was, paid less for a much nicer hotel in Madrid the week before.
no tea/coffee facilities in room and while we were there the building was covered in scaffolding so the room was dark.

The location was great, overlooking one of the main beaches and the river. Parking was a bit of a faff, but the staff were really helpful on that front. You are a few minutes easy walking to the old town with a gazillion Pintxos bars, shops and sweet treats, if you like a craft beer there is a great bar literally on the doorstep "Etxeberria Beer Bar" I'd also really recommend a walk over to the Zuriolla Beach area in the evenings and the streets behind, such a warm relaxing area where Bidassoa Basque Brewery is located for a beer and food.
I really wanted to love Parma Hotel, but it was a bit disappointing to be honest. I booked a street room as to be fair it does mention renovations being carried out on the frontage. We were "upgraded" to a sea view, which was through heavy scaffolding, which in itself wasn't a problem. However, builders started hammering constantly from 8am and earlier, which still carried on through to early evening. It was so loud on day one, I thought someone was hammering on our door to get our attention. The room itself was quite small, again not a major issue for us, but was also extremely dated. The most annoying part of that being, as we passed the open doors on the interior/street side rooms we'd booked, they looked like they were bright, modern and recently renovated.
