Nice rooms and decent food but very little sleep due to noise!

Pleasant room and comfy bed. Food - very generous portions and okay but not special.

Dreadful noise from cellar chill unit just outside window . It was ok until it started stopping and starting which woke us up at 2AM and kept us awake all night. To give them their due the hotel did offer a change of room for 2nd night but we'd had enough by then.

Felt very comfortable on our stay ! Been before so knew what is was like - hence our return ! Very nice thank you.

Was asked at the end to pay for our accommodation? Even though I paid cash as we arrived ? Lack of communication maybe ???

Excellent stay

Welcoming staff who were very friendly and went above and beyond to help me with a bike problem I had. Food was excellent and good value for money.

Great staff and food

Area was great for us. Staff were fantastic and very helpful.

Bathroom a bit small and could be quite hard for certain people to use the shower. Bathroom tiles need a bit of tlc

A pleasant enough hotel but parking was very tight.

Room was pleasant and clean. Staff were friendly.

Soup with the evening meal was just warm. Water in the shower and sink was not hot. Very busy main road outside our window.

Location

We were given a room on the top floor (21) which was a bit too far with a lot of stairs to climb with a painful knee. Shower was very slow. Stain on quilt cover. Wouldn’t say the room was a superior room more like a standard double. Not value for money when my sister paid exactly the same amount as me (£149) for a suite(7). Breakfast was average.

Disappointing

Location in city, near seaside and castle

Had issue with food and service response or lack thereof parking (difficult as stated on site, but more difficult than stated, alley to parking not identified well, big sign no entry, little sign local access, had to walk down road to be sure after circling public lot twice and going down another narrow one lane road and backing out and nearby parking was full. Also like many places we stayed, yes it is an older protected building with limited ability to change, however, staff responses, service, just were not helpful.

Lovely Coach house in beautiful village setting with wonderful staff

Staff were lovely, facitities were great, breakfast was fab, evening meals fab again and its a lovely looking coach house in a Historic village

Only issue was the tired mattress on our bed

Warm welcome, comfortable bed and comforting food.

Very friendly, efficient and accommodating staff. Great bed, plump pillows. Dog bowls and blankets in the room. Delicious food clearly made with care.

Room was a little small but fine for one night. Bathroom door didn't close properly.

Friendly staff...was going to a local wedding..Sharon let me have access to my room really early to drop bags before wedding..and give me keys so I could go off to the wedding all sorted ...lovely breakfast the next morning...would stay again and recommend to others

Would stay again but in another room!

I love Warkworth and the hotel was lovely but our room was on the front street and I found it difficult to sleep with the traffic noise and the headlights lighting up the room. Secondary glazing and blackout blinds are definitely needed. Lovely hotel and staff very helpful, breakfast was delicious.

The toilet seat was a cheap plastic affair which moved every time you sat on it.

A great location, I would describe the hotel as quirky but comfortable enough

Dinner, breakfast, bar area all good. Staff very friendly.

Not enough hot water in the morning for 2 showers in our room. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaked every time you turned over. The floor boards in the bedroom creaked whenever you got out of bed. The window wouldn’t stay open.

A half-way stopping point on the way home from Scotland but an ideal spot for a short getaway.

This was an excellent stay and well above the usual standard of English hotels. Food, room, facilities and service were all first class with a friendly staff. Apart from one small point there was nothing to fault and a stay here is to be thoroughly recommended.

There was just one shortfall and that was no double glazing to deaden the sound of traffic on the main road outside. This was only a problem in the morning as weekday traffic started before we might normally have woken up. In the context of all the other pluses, this is not something to be put off by.
