We stayed in the Baita Room in the Deco apartment on the 3rd floor for 4 nights. What a beautiful, quaint residence! The location is perfect, and the owners and staff were extremely helpful, informative and always making sure our stay was a great one. The most fantastic part of this residence is the terrace which, at 7 floors up, gave us stunning views that included the Augustus forum (right across the narrow street), and not so distant views of the Roman Forum, Vittorio Emanuel II monument, too numerous to count church domes and bell towers and a glimpse of the Colosseum (this list could go on forever!).
The interior in this centuries old property and most of the furnishings were obviously well-used by the Maritti Family. We actually enjoyed the opportunity to experience a slice of the Maritti Family’s life in Rome. Although we didn’t have the honour of meeting the elderly Mr. Maritti, he does live on the 5th floor of the residence.
We certainly felt well taken care of with a comfortable bed (with, I must say, beautiful sheets), plush bath towels, a shared kitchenette with every convenience needed to cook simple meals, the provided coffee every morning, and air conditioning! This is definitely a hotel we will return to!

The owners of the property were so helpful and there was a lift which was amazing to get our bags up to the fourth floor.
I wish the rooms themselves had a small fridge. There was a communal fridge but we didn’t feel comfortable leaving all of our things in there

The favorite spot is the rooftop patio.

Location was excellent! Rooftop view was amazing. Breakfast was great, one of the best croissants we’ve had!
Unfortunately on our second day, our room was not cleaned and we had put our towels on the floor ready to be washed after a very hot and sweaty day in Rome. Which also meant the toilet bin wasn’t emptied. And then we were leaving the next morning early and had no breakfast, which is fair enough
