Beautiful location, quiet, peaceful. Carol was very helpful with local advice!

We had a most enjoyable stay just outside Oban. The lodge is perfectly located as a base for exploring the wider area, while being far enough away from the busier parts of Oban to feel peaceful and relaxing. With just three rooms, the lodge has a wonderfully intimate feel. There’s a small shared dining area for breakfast, although you can also choose to enjoy breakfast in your room or out on the terrace when the weather allows. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything you could want from a hotel stay. The thoughtful extras were a particularly nice touch; biscuits, local chocolates, bottled water, robes and a great selection of quality toiletries. It’s those little touches that really make a difference. The bed was very comfortable and the room also had underfloor heating if needed, as well as a fan, so everything was catered for whatever the weather. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and freshly prepared by Carol, who couldn’t have been a more welcoming host. She took the time to chat with us, share recommendations for the local area and make sure we had everything we needed. The extra local chocolates were very much appreciated! We would highly recommend the lodge as a base for exploring Oban and the surrounding area. The beautiful setting, peaceful location and personal touches offer excellent value for money, particularly if you’d prefer to stay away from some of the busier areas of Oban. It was a real pleasure to meet Carol and Bob and be their guests. They run the place with outstanding hospitality and kindness. The breakfasts were delicious and very smart maintained (you can order every day what would you like to eat from the variety od choices), the portions were generous. On the top od that they provide good coffee as well :D In your room you find a bottled water, local chocolates, biscuits and plenty of tea and instant coffee - Carol makes sure that you won't run out of it and every day makes a new delivery. They also provide a room service if you need it. The room was spacious enough, nicely designed and what's even more important - very clean. Bed was very comfortable. In the room we could find everything we need - from blanket to hairdryer or even a bathrobe. And last but not least - the view from room's terrace - we love to seat there and enjoy it. Hope that one day we'll come back :) thank you for lovely stay.
