Disclaimer Please don't get caught paying the exorbitant rates demanded by the resorts, then having to settle for the apartment they allocate you on the day. The alternative is getting exactly what you want at a discounted rate, in fact up to 30% less than the resort rate. Our owners are happy to have their apartments filled all year round, achieved by having the best and fairest rates for our guests. We have no affiliation with the resort management of any of the resorts where we have apartments. What this means is, aside from paying much less for the apartment of your choice, in the main you will find our apartments have more luxury inclusions than the resort, such as FREE Wifi, Free secure parking, Flat Screen TVs, Netflix TV programs, Q1 activities facilities make your break even more enjoyable. All of our apartments are Self Contained with full kitchen facilities. In addition, all apartments have their laundry with a washer and dryer. HOW TO GET THERE Q1 building is located just LESS THAN a minute stroll from the heart of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. Airports Q1 building is approximately 20 minutes from Coolangatta Airport, catch a bus route 777 to Broad beach then catch a Tram/ Light rail direct to Q1 building (Surfers Paradise station), the tram/ Light rail will stop directly in front of the Q1 building. It will take approximately 1 hour from Brisbane domestic and international airports. Public Transport Busses regularly service the areas immediately surrounding the Q1 building and several other locations in Surfers Paradise. There are train stations located at Helensvale, Nerang and Robina, all of which are approximately 20 minutes by car, and all have regular bus and taxi services to Surfers Paradise. Standard Terms and Conditions A deposit of 50% of the total price (non-refundable) is required to secure the booking. Payment of the said deposit constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Please note most private operators do require a 50% or full amount deposit as that specific apartment is taken out of the market and reserved for you, unlike the situation when booking through the resort itself where less of a deposit may be accepted however you are allocated whatever apartment is left on the day you check-in. The outstanding balance of 50% of the total amount must be received at least 10 days before occupancy unless a later time has been agreed to by the owner apartment in writing (email). Failure to make completed payment 10 days before occupancy gives Q1 apartment owner the right to cancel your booking and re-let the apartment for the original dates you booked. CANCELLATION - We understand that cancellation is sometimes unavoidable. Should this occur, we will issue you with a credit note to the same value you have paid to date, which can be used with us within 12 months from the date of issue. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN 15 DAYS OF YOUR CHECK-IN DATE, A CANCELLATION FEE OF 80% OF THE FULL BOOKING AMOUNT will be charged. This cancellation fee is required to cover the discounts we would need to offer to secure bookings on short notice. If already made, the remaining 20% of the payment will be refunded in a credit note to the same value, which can be used with us within 12 months from the date of issue. While we make every effort to ensure the apartment as booked is available for your stay, we reserve the right to refund your payments or find alternative accommodation for you if, for any reason, the apartment should not be available due to reasons unforeseen at the time of making your booking. To maintain a good standard for our guests, we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate that most people will respect our property; however, the following conditions apply to the minority who don't. Due to Q1 Strata & Insurance cover policy and supply additional fresh linen. You will require an additional charge to be paid at the time locally (prepay) at the time of check-in if you bring more people (based on your prior requested booking information) to stay in our apartment, or we/ Q1 Strata Manager may refuse to let you check in or cancel your booking and non-refundable. Your responsibility is to comply with the Q1 Strata ruling, Insurance cover policy, and term conditions requirements. We will not refund, reimburse, or cancel the booking as customers request if they change their minds after checkin. We remind you that we will not accept any violent reasons after checkin (verbal, threatening or physical) behaviour in or around our apartment/ Q1 building to our staff. The police and security will be called immediately if required, and you will escort FREE ride with a police vehicle. The number of guests should not exceed the number on the booking form or subsequently agreed upon in writing (email). Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance. Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. Pets are not allowed in the apartment.

The host was exceptionally rude through out the process. When we arrived the place stunk of mould and cigarette smoke. Cupboards falling apart ripped lounges. The 3rd bedroom was actua closed in verandah with a portable air conditioner. Carpet ripped bedhead was a piece of pineboard. Showers/bathrooms were mouldy and filthy.
The host refused to speak to us and when we complained he lied about what he said and vertually called us liars. Very disappointing. We didn't stay we were there 20 minutes and left as you couldn't sleep in the place. We have not heard anything about our complaints or recieved a refund. Never will I go through this host again. I do have photo's to back up everything I have said.

I really enjoyed the apartnment. It was clean and spacious only downside their wasnt really a cupboard to put food but other then really enjoyed the stay.

Check-in was smooth and easy. Communication was excellent with owner and cleaner. Apartment was huge, plenty of room for a family of 7. Beds were comfy. Plenty of lounge chairs for a big family. Close access to the beach and shops. The kids really enjoyed the pool & spa. Would definitely return again in the future. Just a very pleasant overall experience. We all enjoyed our stay.

This place was filthy! Hair everywhere, cigarette ash on the side of the bed. Bottle caps under couches and cigarette lighter in between couch, which was perfect for the kids…. *Rolling eyes*
One of the mattress connected to the other to make a “king” size bed was totally sunken in, was not able to sleep on it all!
Biggest problem was that it was advertised as having an outdoor deck/patio!
Which was a LIE!! It had no outdoor area at all! In fact they had converted the outdoor area to the 3rd bedroom!! Which felt like we were camping! I asked for a refund at the start of our trip and was declined by owner and Stayz was no help either! Crazy waste of money and devastating for our long awaited holidays

Me and my family had a night stay on 18th Dec. The check in time is not accurate. The place is not that clean. My son slipped on wet floor as we are advised to check in even the floor is still wet.No codiments imcluded. No hand wash in the bathroom.Not so happy with our stay.

This property was amazing! We had lovely owners looking after us, contacted me 24 hours prior to give me in depth detail on check in and letting me know I can contact them anytime.
The apartment was just perfect! No problems or issues.

Originally Booked this trip feb last year for my sisters hens on sep 2020. Unfortunately we could not go as covid hit and border closing and flights cancellation. Jacky refused to reschedule even though I have notified every step of the way and made the host aware of my intention for refund months and months prior the booking date. Jacky have failed to reply till it was too late for refund “as per booking policy” Advised by fair trading to write Jacky a formal letter before lodging a complaint and that’s when Jacky rescheduled our trip for this July this year. 3 months prior July I have notified Jacky I’m planning to sell the trip because husband is working. Jacky states cannot re sell. Husband says take my Mother. Because the payment we payed to this trip is my one week of hard working pay.
Then covid hits again. Jacky strongly refuses to reschedule even though I pretty much begged her to do so.
I went via QLD Fair trading. And apparently Jacky says to them that he offered me a credit and I refused, that he already rescheduled twice which is ALL untrue.
FYI, our conversations are all saved so yes I have evidence for ALL.
Fair trading QLD and NSW Advices me to go through Tribunal/Court.
As per “Frustration contract Law” applies to my issue.
Which the host, Stayz and I will continue this dispute via court.
I have evidence to all. So no I am not lying. Stayz cannot help as per their policy they can only encourage the host to do the right thing but at the end it is the host discretion to make a credit/refund.

Had a sub penthouse for a week and sadly it was not what we pictured. Most of the linen on the beds had yellow stains on them, weird stains on the walls, missing tv remotes, misleading information about balconies, blood on the underlay for the beds, ripped couch that also had bad sticking out, didn’t have the tv entrainment that was meant to come with the tv, shower had mould, bathroom door and cabinets were broken, kitchen utilities broken, the wifi was not bad nothing would load therefore had to pay extra for data usage, rude reception :(

The property was perfect for our needs in attending Blues on Broadbeach as a family. Ideally located next to the tram station.
Layout of the unit is good and was presented clean as expected.
Some feedback on our stay includes
Decor and some of the fittings were slightly dated but the unit provided good value. Window furnishings did provide block out in the main bedroom.
The checkin process was a little bit random but we didnt have any issues. Maybe a map of the car space might be helpful but no big issue.
All in it provides good value for money, central location, good views.
I would recommend it for anyone. It is priced accordingly.

There was plenty of space for our group of 3 adults and 5 children, aged between 9 and 2. The apartment had everything we needed and the location is central to Cavill Ave and beach.

Stayed for 3 nights with friends. Plenty of space and great views. Easy check-in and owner was super helpful when we had a little trouble accessing the room.Overall a great weekend, great apartment and will stay again.

The apartment was great very clean when we arrived. The owner was good to deal with. We have stayed at Q1 many times through the management but this apartment was privately owned and was very reasonably priced.

I was extremely dissapointed with our stay at this hotel. We had 1 room key to share between 6 people, one of the bedrooms was missing a blind and a portable airconditioner which they had cut a hole through the window to use, the electrical socket in the laundry WAS IN NO WAY SAFE TO USE so we were unable to do any form of washing, there was no toilet paper supplied (not even 1 roll!) the matress' were shocking to sleep on and 3 adults didn't get much sleep at all due to sore backs, my 2 year old daughter found bottle caps so the room had obviously not been cleaned properly, there was a steel object pointing out of one of the couches which scratched my daughters leg as she got onto the couch. I will not be booking through stayz.com again if these are the sort of properties they are renting out and charging good money for.

We had a large group stay in the apartment comfortably and had an amazing time. So close to the beach and shops we had everything we needed. The views and resort facilities were amazing. Will definitely be back
