Hotel Tatra made a very good impression from the very beginning. Its location is excellent — right next to the Presidential Palace and less than a 10-minute walk from the Old Town. There are tram and bus stops nearby, making it very easy to get around the city. There is also a Billa supermarket directly opposite the hotel, as well as various restaurants in the surrounding area. The hotel also offers a wonderful view of Bratislava Castle.
The room was perfectly clean and well equipped. The air conditioning was particularly important during my stay, as temperatures exceeded 30°C. The bathroom was somewhat older, but it was spotless and the fixtures were of very high quality. Overall, the entire hotel was very well maintained.
The biggest highlight was definitely the breakfast. There was an enormous selection of food and drinks, including many different hot breakfast options, a huge variety of cold dishes and toppings, fresh fruit, cakes and pastries, as well as a wide choice of beverages. Everything was delicious, and the selection was impressive.
Another major advantage is the excellent value for money. Compared with hotel prices in other European capitals, Hotel Tatra offers an exceptional standard at a very reasonable price. It is hard to imagine finding such a high level of quality at such an affordable price in many other EU capitals.
To sum up, I honestly cannot think of any significant downside to this hotel. The service was excellent, the cleanliness was impeccable, and the breakfast was fantastic. I would highly recommend Hotel Tatra for both short city breaks and longer stays in Bratislava.

The Tatra Hotel is strategically located (close to the Old Town, the Presidential Palace, and Bratislava Castle). A supermarket is also nearby. 👍

The location is good and the breakfast too.
Some staff is very inhospitable and rude. Too pricey for what it offers.
