We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Gent Centrum while celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Ghent, and we really enjoyed the beautiful view from our room. The staff were friendly and the room service was very good. We especially appreciated the lovely surprise for our anniversary: a bottle of red wine and a card waiting for us in the room. It was a thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more special. Thank you! 🤍

I had a fall on my first day in Ghent and subsequently we had to cut short our trip. The man on reception who dealt with us the morning of Wednesday 2nd September was exceptionally helpful and sympathetic. A traumatic experience was made somewhat easier by his kindness.

There is no other place to be in the center of the city! Amazing location, nice room and super-nice staff. Plus you can have your dog and your kids (and you) can use the pool in the courtyard. All this for an affordable value. We will stay here next time for sure. While they offer on-site parking, our car with a rooftop box could not fit in - but the staff provided a list of available P+R parking places (which are free!). It took some time to commute but we were able to park temporarily with the car on arrival and on departure at the hotel which made the whole trip and stay very convenient.

Good breakfast choices, nice toiletries in the rooms, nice staff on reception.
Pool had green dirt/algae forming around the water line. Reception carpet was dirty. Driving to the hotel was very hard as many signs saying no vehicles permitted. On phoning the hotel we were informed we could ignore those signs but when we arrived we were only allowed to ignore the sign directly on the road of the hotel - not looking forward to the fines! Attention to detail is missing on the tidiness of the hotel. The summer beach by the pool looks a mess as do the deckchairs etc, weeds growing outside the windows, carpets are dirty in stair well and reception - simple things to correct.
