This is a 200 year old manor house that’s been lovingly restored and converted into a boutique hotel! Serene gardens with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the magnificent vistas of the lush green mountains, valley, the village of Bidania and grazing animals. Truly felt like I was in a landscape painting. Service at front desk and in the restaurant was impeccable as deserving of an expensive hotel like this
I knew what we were booking but the hotel is remote and hopefully that’s what you are looking for. The access road from the nearest town of Azpeitia is narrow winding through the hills with mist and fog rolling in on the couple of drives we did. All adds to the feeling of mystique and uniqueness but good to know before you book
