Lovely venue. We were staying for a wedding and the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The room was very warm.

A lovely hotel, it felt very unique.
The young waiting on staff didn’t have a clue. Asked for water at dinner but they didn’t bring any, asked again after 15 minutes. There were only 3 tables eating so no excuse for being busy. Part of my meal was cold and I had to send it back.
Every time we had drinks from the bar the prices were different? I questioned this and realised after they hadn’t charged me for some drinks.
Not enough loungers in the Spa, people had towels on them but never saw anyone using them. It’s a shame that this is allowed to happen. Hotel guests don’t get a spa robe you can hire them for £7.50 from reception … even though we paid for treatments we weren’t treated the same as people using the spa for day packages.

The hotel itself is nice, lovely when you walk in and the restaurant and bar are also lovely. The rooms are ok, could do with some touch ups, it’s an old building I know but some peeling paint and rips in blinds. Spa is nice. Place is clean.
They hold events, which was happening at out stay, we paid close to £200 for one night, we came hoping for a quiet relaxing stay. We were kept awake until 4am, by the party that was being held, people constantly cheering and being loud outside our room, a child was screaming crying ALL NIGHT, this can’t be helped I know that but it honestly sounded like something was really wrong. The spa had a group of women who were snarling others because they didn’t have enough chairs for their group, they were racing in the pool which was stopping others having a leisurely swim, being loud in a place where people have come to relax and unwind.
