Boutique hotel luxury comfort and individual service. Super comfortable bed, amazing shower and bath. Freshly made breakfast, different every day. Excellent location in the heart of historic district. 5 mins taxi from the station. Wonderful welcome from the friendly owner and his staff.

Uno de esos lugares que sabes que recordarás siempre: atención, espacio, ubicación, tranquilidad... todo genial. El personal, encantador.
Sin duda, si vuelvo a Kanazawa, me volveré a alojar en este hotel.

The greeting was warm and welcoming, the foyer gave the architectural show away; elegant and beautifully curated.
The room was stunning - clean, well appointed, generous. Sublime bed linen and nightwear. The whole annex was architecturally very simple, very elegant, beautifully executed and quiet as a library.
This is ryokan not the Four Seasons.
DO NOT miss out on the food and the dining room. Man oh man - does this kitchen outperform! Western style breakfast (with a little Japanese twist) - along with the best crossiant outside Paris.
AND, absolutely take dinner here. Probably the most enjoyable omakase style meal I have ever had. I think we had 13 stunningly executed and immaculately presented courses all focussed on local seasonal produce. Yet all very relaxed, uber elegant and not in anyway fussy. Lovely staff - happy yet serious in their work.
Ask for a sake match - you will be surprised.
Without doubt one of my top 5 hospitality experiences of the last 2 decades. Exactly as it presents. Fabulous people. BRAVO.
