Hotel overlooks the majestic Lake Maggiore with absolutely stunning views. Very comfortable beds and a great shower. We enjoyed access to the pool and spa facilities and found it the perfect way to unwind after exploring in the heat. A good selection at breakfast with a relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble, welcoming staff (a big thank you to Alice for going above and beyond) - we loved our stay!
A word of warning for anyone staying without bringing/hiring a vehicle - although the walk into the local town from the hotel is a short one, there is not a pavement running the full length along the road. This makes for a rather hazardous journey on foot in the dark with limited/no local taxi options. Just a consideration, we knew this at the time of booking and so weren’t surprised - but appreciate this is useful to reiterate (especially for those with young children in tow, reduced mobility or of a nervous disposition).

The location was very good, close but not too close to restaurants (there is a restaurant in the hotel, but it wasn't open during our stay).
The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. The outdoor/indoor dining (breakfast seating in our case) is lovely and on the waters edge- nice atmosphere.
The spa and pool are nice with a lake view while you relax in the indoor pool - so nice!
We had a balcony room that overlooked the lake. The space and view were excellent!
We were visiting the area on a trip celebrating our 20th anniversary. We were looking for a nice place to enjoy a romantic getaway. Sadly-Upon entering our room, we could hear yelling/shouting, as if someone were in an altercation with someone else. I went back down to the reception and asked if they were aware of the situation.
I was told, "Yes, Im so sorry! It is the owner, and he does this a lot. I am sorry he is disturbing you."
The yelling and shouting went on for about 40 minutes, so we left the hotel and went to find a place for dinner.
Once we returned from dinner and the AC had been "on" for 2 hours- It was still stifling hot in our room, so we called for help with the AC control. The owner came to our room and said, "Don't touch it, it is on. It doesn't work fast."
So we suffered in silence, and we were happy to leave in the morning :(
