Location is PERFECT. The apartment is right in front of the statue of Molly Malone. It has everything you will need for a comfortable stay - fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washer machine... Nice rooms, comfortable bed, very spacious living/ dining room (kitchen open concept). It was definitely above our expectations.
The apartment wasn´t ready at check in time - which already is very late (3pm). We have to wait for over 1 hour to enter the apartment, and that was very unpleasant after a long overnight flight.

Good fresh range for breakfast. Good left luggage facility. Friendly reception staff. Great shower, water top up facilities.
Room was very small. Avoid 314, 316, 318. only one coat hanger. nowhere to put bags and be able to move round room. Ok for one night but not more! VERY poor packed breakast for early departure. Stale tasting left over cakes and croissant. Was told there would be fruit and quiche and drink. None of these were provided. See photo.

You're staying here for access to Dublin. It's tucked away in the city center, within easy walking distance of Trinity College, St. Stephen's Green, the National Gallery, and Temple Bar. There's plenty to do. The staff seemed nice; they read my message and comped us two drinks for my birthday. They were also helpful with luggage storage for a few hours on checkout. A few other thoughtful touches we appreciated: the bed is comfortable (with a cutout in the cabinetry in case one of you is a little taller than the other), the custom pottery cups and coffee, and the water bottle filling station.
They absolutely need a more thorough review of their fire alarm system and staff response; I hesitate recommending this hotel until they sort this out. We stayed two nights; the first night, the alarm went off late in the evening, and the whole hotel emptied onto the street corner as it sounded for another 10-20 minutes. For the life of us, we could not see or hear any staff members giving directions on when it was okay to come back in. The second night, the alarm went off twice: once after midnight (a false alarm - a minute long enough to scramble and get your important documents before it stops once you start heading down the stairs) and again around 6 a.m. for what I'd call a blip. I suspect guests sometimes accidentally press what they think is an open door button when they press the red one that looks similar, despite the little sign underneath that says DO NOT press the red button. Judging by the number of people talking to the front desk the next morning and the other reviews that mention their own fire alarm adventure at this location, I am not the only one to notice this. I understand that a guest's actions are not the direct responsibility of the hotel. Still, the lack of a coordinated staff response and the lack of announcements during either evening about the fire alarms didn't help us get a good night's sleep. Hopefully they can improve on this soon; there's a lot of promise in this hotel.
