The hotel was nice but a bit tired looking . The owner was very charming, nice, and very helpful to us, he cooked the breakfast and cleaned the rooms. It was either a cooked meal or a choice of cereals, plus a choice of tea, coffee, or orange juice.
The room was tidy but in need of a some TLC. It was a very small on-suit toilet and shower room. It was ideal for a short visIt was great that for a returnable deposit, you got a free parking ticket for the whole of your stay, but (see, don't like)
The free parking ticket was a great addition, but the actual parking space available was a good 10 minutes walk away in the Swanery Car Park.
The stairs to the rooms are quite steep and narrow (not ideal for persons with carrying heavy weights (bags & cases).
There is no direct parking outside to drop off cases, booking in and leaving. (Double yellow lines)

The beans were like warm but the staff were very welcome and assured we was welcome
The bathrooms were very small and didn’t expect to have to struggle up and down stairs for a shared bathroom. Need extra towels. A can of empty beer was left behind my toilet which I also left there because I’m a recovering alcoholic if 15 months so didn’t want to touch it. It’s ok that the car park is a walk away however to have known this would have made it much easier
