Cata was the best host, patiently going above the call of duty to answer our many questions and ensuring we could have the best possible experience. The location was excellent. The interior has been beautifully restored. The small rooftop terrace was a nice surprise for an early morning coffee or late night view of the city lights.

Cata was sooo lovely, such a great host and gave many helpful tips of the city and lent us umbrellas when it rained. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was central to what we wanted to visit. Would happily stay here again.

Of the seven places we stayed at in Chile, this was by far the most enjoyable. Well located for touring the hills and street art of the city, the guesthouse is beautifully restored with real attention to detail and travellers' comfort. It also sports a spectacular van Gogh-inspired mural! Our stay was made all the more memorable by the hosts, who went out of their way to help us with transportation, tours, local information, maps and even laundry. We fell in love with Valpo and with staying at the Casa California.
We should have planned to stay longer.
