Ruined the last 3 days of my holiday of a lifetime at this place

I spent around a month in Bali so I know what standards to expect from the hotels. This was the most horrible place I’ve seen there. - The place is advertised as luxury villas but nothing is luxury about it. Everything is run down, broken, dirty. - Pool hasn’t been cleaned for a long while, the colour shows. Frogs partying there when humans not around (watched from my balcony) - Doors and windows don’t close properly - 3-5 cm gaps between them and your room will turn into a zoo with geckos, rats, and other animals that are considered normal - I didn’t have internet connection in my room. Staff promised to fix it, did nothing - My bathroom wasn’t cleaned before my arrival - You’re there to relax but you HAVE TO order what you want to eat for breakfast and at what time a day in advance. You can’t be flexible with your day - I found 3 palm-sized cockroaches in my room, one IN MY BED, the second night I was supposed to spend there. Tried to contact the staff as it was still their business hours but no one was reachable. I had to leave as I couldn’t have slept there with those animals. On Christmas night, when it was raining cats and dogs. Couldn’t find any accommodation online due to the busiest time of the year, so a nearby hotel helped me find one by calling over 10 hotels. I was there to relax and spend the last days of my holiday in a calm place but because of them, I had to spend each night at a different hotel.

Soggiorno mistico a nord di Ubud

Accoglienza molto calorosa e disponibilità per molteplici servizi (es. noleggio moto comodissimo con ritiro e riconsegna direttamente in loco, 110cc per meno di 4 €/gg). Struttura locata in mezzo al verde lontano dal caos del centro di Ubud. Ottima anche la piscina.

Si potrebbe aggiungere un tavolino in camera, vista l'ampia metratura.

Ottima struttura con ville private immersa nel verde

Struttura immersa nella natura, ampie camere e bellissimo il bagno con apertura sul tetto. Ottima colazione servita al tavolo la mattina. Personale molto accogliente e gentile. La struttura è a pochi minuti di motorino dal centro di Ubud ed ha un rapporto qualità-prezzo fantastico.

Come raccomandazione suggersico di fare più attenzione alla pulizia di lenzuoli e asciugamani.

The facility is surrounded by nature and all staffs are very friendly and kind.

Room was big enough and comfortable. We enjoyed different type of breakfast and all of them were very good. We Enjoyed swimming pool. Room was cleaned well. The facility is a little old and we found some bugs in the room but it was not a problem.

I was given 2 WhatsApp numbers. Later I was told to send text to one of them for quick response. It would be better if I knew it from the beggining.

Overall pleasant stay near town but could do with some improvements

Nice environment and spacious rooms, comfortable bed, kettle provided in the room. Generally quiet and peaceful and easy to get into town via grab. Staff very polite and relaxed. Provided cake as a small birthday surprise which was very thoughtful.

Property looks beautiful but on closer inspection needs some maintenance-light in my room and towel rail was broken, shower flow was poor and never fixed, didn't have hot water one night even though I did tell the staff. For the price bracket the overall maintenance inside could have been better relative to other properties I have stayed in in Ubud. Although it is quiet you are still near the main road so there is some traffic sounds but compared to Central it is still very nice. No coffee or tea provided in the room. Make sure you check which room you get as mine was directly facing the reception so didn't have much of a rice fields view but overall the ambience was nice. Property no longer offers free shuttle but charges 100,000 to go into town-grab is far cheaper so didn't make sense if there is only one of you.

Worst place in Bali after a month traveling

The location is the only good thing

We were traveling for a month and this was our last accommodation in Bali, that's why I decided to spend more money although there were cheaper accommodations very close. I chose a "suite deluxe" (for 3 nights), this is how they described it in Booking. If you see the pictures, you will see there's no luxury anywhere. I want to stand out that Santosha has only 8 villas and we were the only clients. Mattress and sheets were wet (no rainy season), room were dirty EVERYWHERE, rats pee, a lack of maintain in curtains, walls... I communicated my disappoint to the staff and asked why the room was described as luxurious, and they did not know how to answer, only "sorry, sorry", but they didn't look for a solution and they didn't give us options. The next day they did not make the room with the excuse that they thought it was our check out day... well, if it's our check out day, you have to go and clean for the next clients, right? And you will see our suitcases... It's a shame that a place like this is spoiled by staff who don't care about cleaning it well and by a property management that doesn't invest in maintenance. But above all, they lie their clients, if it is not luxury the villa or the experience, do not sell it as such.

Lovely quiet spot in front of rice fields

Nice spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. Bathtub in the big bathroom. The staff was friendly and attentive. Generous breakfast and lovely scenery. Highly recommended!

This place is a hidden gem and located in a beautiful landscape with a clean and calm environment. All the staff there were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for a very relaxed stay and will visit this place again.

Simple place, could need some extra love

Simple nice place outside of Ubud Center. Friendly staff. The room was spacious and had a nice view.

It felt a bit abandoned. There where a lot of leaves in the pool which affected the impression of cleanliness. Our bedsheet had some stain on it but when we mentioned it the lady was very helpful and immediately changed them.

The best location for an amazing, relaxing holiday!

The location is great, the bungalows where very spacious, nice pool and most of all the best and sweetest staff who will do anything to make your stay amazing. A HUGE thank you to all of the Santosha team for taking such a good care of us. The breakfast was great, daily cleaning, helping out for any request, giving great recommendations and going above and beyond to make your guests comfortable A+.

Beautiful and quiet place compared to the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Great service, lovely breakfast on the outside terrace with enough privacy, and the kindest staff! Bathrooms are beautiful, room is spacious, bed comfortable! Space to park your car or scooter for free!

The staff and the owner, Mr Nyoman, are very nice people, always there to help out with everything. The room, hot shower, AC, power and WiFi all worked. Pool was well looked after. By the way, it is absolutely safe to brush teeth with the tap water. Two bottles of water are provided each day. Balinese coffee was super delicious.

Serene and Cozy stay at Santosha Villas

The location is great: far enough from Ubud Center to be quiet, yet just a short ten-minute drive away. Santosha Villas is a very beautiful property with amazing views, lots of sunlight, very rustic feeling, and is surrounded by rice fields. The pool is great and so relaxing. Most of all, the staff is so kind and responsive to requests. It's a great peaceful location for solo travelers, couples, family, and friends for a quick getaway or even for an extended stay in Bali. I originally planned to stay just a few days but decided to extend a bit longer. With a kitchen and all of the other amenities, it felt like home. I stayed in both the Cottage and Deluxe Rooms but wound up staying in the Deluxe for longer. They both have their charm and benefits. I loved having two floors in the Deluxe Room- so much space and was very cozy.

Everything was great for the most part. There were some renovations to some of the rooms before I checked in and I think they will continue to freshen up the property to welcome new guests in the near future.

The location just 10 minutes drives from ubud centre. Nyoman is very helpful and he knows about all the information that we need such us for the tourist destination around ubud and balinese culture😉

I visited the environment of Ubud and choose to stay at Santosha for some restful moments.

I was very amused by the friendly people working there and the beautifull area where Sontosha is located. Excellent place to use as a startingpoint for visting Ubud and the environment.

Underrated

Staffs were good Breakfast was okay Location is good Free shuttle is very good (both pick up and drop) Communication

I have had organised candle light dinner for my partner. Entree (some chicken fry and ginger/turmeric drink) was not bad followed by soup (in which we found 2 medium sized plastic pieces) I was actually scared that something will happen to my partner. The main course is Nasi goreng (very dry whole chicken with rice which was already cold) and I decided to not to have dessert. I was charged whooping 1,200,000 IDR. I was Devastated completely. Definitely, I am unhappy about my stay :( The staffs are good but no one came to resolve or take ownership on this. I never prefer to stay again that’s for sure.
