The hotel is very well positioned for public transport. Normally the tram service runs very close by, stopped by temporary issues in August 26. Many buses run on the obvious Leith Walk, with many others a short distance away on Easter Road. The staff are present in reception during the working day, and we found them friendly and helpful. Our room seems newly set up. The carpet is thick and comfy to walk on. Everything in the room works. The shower is outstanding and hot water available whenever we wanted to use it. Our room had a skylight with a blind we could operate instead of having a window.
The room size was adequate but it would have been improved by being a little bigger and fitting in a chair. There are some chairs in the rear hallway and guests can sit there.

Very very Quiet which is quiet unusual for a hotel, very clean, good communication and appreciated water and top up tea tray supplies being left available. Great shower! A good straight 15/20 minute walk into town.
It's a very small room for the price, should have said there was only a skylight with no window although it actually was a bonus for light and sound to sleep. The Bed is hard really would benifit from a good topper, would definitely stay again if this was addressed.

The ease of access and location to nearby eateries and drinks venues.
There was a lot of noise by other guests early hours of early (before 7am) that wasn’t managed. Plus there was no curtains or blinds for the windows which made it difficult to sleep after sunrise.
