We stayed in The Smithy, a quadruple room. Hunts House Quarters is located in a lovely quaint little village opposite a village pub. The rooms are in a little courtyard behind the main property. Communication with the host was great and check in was really easy. The room was very tastefully decorated and so comfy. Really nice furnishings and lovely attention to detail. The bathroom looked very classy as was the cute little bottles of shower gel and shampoo. The whole room had everything you need for a comfortable stay and more! It has been so well thought out. Wayne the host was very friendly and although the room is on a room only basis you could add breakfast on. Opposite the rooms there was a little wooden hut which contained crockery, a microwave and toaster and although we didn't use it we were informed that we could pay (using a QR code) £5 per person (I think) and we could choose from toast, cereal, porridge, fresh fruit etc all available in the hut. What a lovely idea! I felt that this room was great value for money and wished we could have stayed a little longer!
The shower wasn't the best. There is a bit of an issue with the water pressure but this is a minor issue.
The lack of Ubers that would come to the property! (obviously not the property owners fault.) Apparently the village of Kilsby is just on the border of Coventry and Northampton so taxi firms seem reluctant to travel here. We attended a wedding literally a 4 minute drive from the property. Uber would cost us £6/£7 but after waiting over an hour for drivers to be "confirmed" and then cancelled we ended up having to pay £25 (one way) for a taxi as the Uber's wouldn't take the job! Uber did accept the job the following day (we needed to collect our car from the wedding venue) but it's clearly hit and miss. As I say this is nothing to do with the Property Owners just worth knowing.
