We enjoyed our stay and a really lovely roomy accommodation. We ate at the restaurant and the meal was excellent - just a great stop over for us.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. Very helpful when the key to the outer door to the accommodation didn't work. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Lots of hot water and clean white towels. There was a green safety light on all night above the steps to the bathroom
Very surprisingly, the bathroom in the room (Guy Fawkes) was accessed by going down two steep steps. This is not ideal at night. I was not expecting this and was not warned in advance. Had I had serious mobility difficulties, I would really have struggled. I was told to adjust the room temperature using the room thermostat but this did not change the radiator temperature... it remained cold at all times. I had a bath to warm up before I went to bed. The bathroom basin had a pop-up waste that jammed down and so I couldn't use the basin. I thought it was too late to call staff for help when I discovered this. When I checked out (and asked for a plaster because I'd grazed my hand on the door), I reported the cold radiator and jammed basin waste. My comments were received but a little bit of sympathy or even an apology would have gone a long way.
