Resembling a French Plantation, PLANTATION TROPICALE is an impressive island estate that occupies an entire corner block of the desirable Casa East neighborhood of Key West. This expansive property features nearly 3,000 square feet of indoor living space, a separate Guest House, beautifully maintained gardens, and a large private pool and cabana – all of which are hidden amongst dense tropical foliage to provide ultimate privacy for your group. Speaking of privacy, each bedroom in this impressive home is designed as a private Suite, with an en-suite bathroom and access to a private covered porch. It’s easy to see why PLANTATION TROPICALE is the perfect vacation setting for those looking for a secluded tropical oasis. THE LIVING AREA & KITCHEN... The main living area of PLANTATION TROPICALE has two sets of French doors that open to the gardens and fill the space with natural light. A large SMART TV hangs on the wall in front of the plush sectional sofa, which pulls out to a Queen sleeper to accommodate extra guests. The indoor dining table sits just beyond the living room and seats six comfortably. Follow the hallway from the living area to the airy galley-style kitchen. This fully equipped kitchen with multiple sets of French doors offers all of the appliances and tools needed to prepare meals from home. THE POOL AREA.... The 28 x 14 private pool is available heated, and is large enough for everyone in your group to swim around in both the sun and shade. The spacious pool deck has chaises for lounging in the sun and a four-top dining table when you want to enjoy a poolside meal. Then, there’s the covered cabana with additional chaises for relaxing in the shade. Finally, there's a propane gas grill and outdoor dining set situated within the gardens when you want to enjoy a BBQ. THE LOCATION… The Casa Marina East district of Key West is a quiet, mostly residential neighborhood on the southern side of the island. Just a quick three block walk from the start of Higgs Beach at White Street, and just down the street from Smathers Beach, PLANTATION TROPICALE is a dream for beach-lovers who prefer to pack their coolers and towels and walk down to the sand and water. Watch the sunset from Smathers Beach or the White Street pier just around the corner. Take the short stroll to Salute Ristorante for a beach-side meal, or ride bikes down to Duval Street or the Historic Seaport for the most popular Key West attractions. THE ACCOMMODATIONS... This sprawling estate features four bedrooms in the main house and a detached guest house. Each bedroom in PLANTATION TROPICALE has an en-suite bathroom, flat screen TV, closet, and a private covered porch. Spread out in the following accommodations: First Floor ** Bedroom #1: Two Twins OR One King. En-suite bathroom has double sinks and a shower and tub combo. ** Bedroom #2: Queen bed En-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower. ** Guest House: King bed. En-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower. Groups who expect they may cause after hours noise will not be a good fit for this home and should be aware they may incur additional penalties when in residence for violations. There will be a $500 charge for after-hours dispatch of our staff in response to calls resulting from verified noise complaints for violations by our guests in residence.

We stayed with two families that included 7 kids/teens ages 10-16. It was perfect! We had a ball using the outdoor kitchen and walked and rode bikes everywhere. Double laundry units were so helpful, and the fully stocked kitchen and grill area great. Management and concierge also super helpful. Thank you for the great stay!

Our group of seven adults stayed at this property for the week of Thanksgiving. While the property itself is beautiful and private, our stay could have been much more enjoyable.
Pros:
The home itself is large enough to accommodate a big group, and very clean on the inside. One of the bedrooms you do have to go through to enter another bedroom, so that was a bit odd.
The house was stocked with all the necessities to enjoy our time there. We even cooked at the house a few times and found everything we needed.
The property is very private and quiet.
Cons:
Interrupted multiple times for maintenance. We stayed Monday - Saturday and unfortunately the pool didn’t get cleaned until Friday. They also came to clean up the landscaping while we were out by the pool one day. AC repair and appraisal also took place during our stay.
If you enjoy sleeping in a cooler room, you will be disappointed to know the thermostat in master bedroom does not go below 70 degrees.
The exterior could use lots of TLC. The landscaping lighting does not work. There are areas of the decking that need to be replaced, a hazard if you have small children. The exterior of the house itself needs to be cleaned.
Bugs were a bit of an issue, as to be expected.

We were a group of 3 couples and 4 children. The house accommodated us perfectly. The layout gave everyone private space with great indoor and outdoor areas to gather. The kitchen layout was a little odd, but all appliances and kitchen utensils were in good order. The house is located slightly away from the busy tourist area which we appreciated. A small grocery store was within golf cart distance. Everything was bike-able or walkable. The pool and pool area were very nice. The BBQ was good. We lucked out with the weather and we’re able to leave the French doors which surrounded every room open the entire time. The property is surrounded by a wall and lush plants that give it complete privacy behind a gate that locks. We can highly recommend this property.

Tropical paradise
We couldn’t have been happier with Plantation Tropicale. I felt like I was in a tropical paradise. There were six adults, and a 12, 6 and 3 year old. The location was good, and not far from everything. The beds were comfortable and it was such a nice place to unwind. The pool was great and provided much entertainment. Supplies were provided and there was even wine and goodies to welcome us. Kendra was very friendly and accommodating. Would love to return someday.

Wonderful property!
We had an amazing stay with family and friends over Spring Break. The property is beautiful and beautifully decorated. There were two floats in the pool along with two beach balls which we enjoyed using during our stay. We rode bikes everywhere and it was an easy ride just about anywhere- beaches, Duval St, restaurants. Went to Fausto’s for nearby groceries and used Instacart delivery for bigger items from Publix. Highly recommend and will definitely book this place again!
