About this cottage rental
Nestled in Ocean Isle Beach, this attractive cottage for $423 per night is a great choice for your next trip. RENOVATED IN MARCH 2024 Dog friendly. Majestic views of the Intracoastal Waterway! Swims in the canal, kayaking, fishing from the boat dock! The location provides easy access for ocean-bound or waterway fishing trips including day trips to island beaches nearby. The beach is a short 10-minute walk. A large beach cart is provided with room for a cooler and beach chairs. When you arrive... - The prevalent "change-over" day occurred the day before. It is much easier (traffic) to get here. - How much would you appreciate linens and towels being provided? Including resort-quality BEACH towels? Not only are the linens provided, but the BEDS ARE MADE TOO! - You discover that all of the basic supplies you will need for your stay are stocked and waiting. Even the spice cabinet is loaded up for your use. Maybe you do not need to go to the store after arrival. - You have 2 refrigerators. The downstairs refrigerator is turned down for cold beverage storage and has an ice maker. The upstairs refrigerator also has an ice maker and is the place for food storage. - Since you are arriving on Sunday, not the prevalent "change-over" day, the landing shouldn't be as crowded when you go to put your boat in the water. I also suggest loading the boat back on the trailer 11 am and 2 PM on Saturday to avoid the peak time the landing is used. The front and back decks have been renovated with cabled railings. There are gathering places on both decks but mainly on the back deck. The back deck has been redesigned to provide more usable space. on the back deck, there is a patio table with seating for 8 people. There is also a picnic table that provides ample seating for 6 people. And there are rockers for people like me who just enjoy sitting out and watching the boat traffic on the canal and intra-coastal waterway. The kitchen has been completely renovated with new cabinets and countertops. More storage space was added. The vanities in both bathrooms have been updated. The old windows have been replaced with "quiet" and hurricane-rated windows. Large living area, 4 bedrooms / 2 baths upstairs / 2 bedrooms / 1 bath downstairs. Sleeps, 13 people. Decks on the front and the canal side of the house upstairs. It also includes a patio and outdoor shower downstairs. A floating dock at the end of the walkway provides convenient docking space, flounder fishing, or a platform for swims in the canal. A washer, dryer, AND an additional refrigerator/freezer with an icemaker are provided downstairs in the storage room. There is no need to go anywhere else (by land) after arrival. The patio downstairs includes all of the cooking tools needed (grills, 2-eye gas burner, etc.) to prepare your own feasts. Ample parking for 6 vehicles. NOTE: There is a $100 Administrative Fee (per booking) added to the price for renting our cottage. If you report to the owner (by email, text, or phone call) that you DID NOT bring pets, the $100 administrative fee will be refunded to you after your stay.

This house is great! There was plenty of room for everyone and my 16 year old dog loved it! It was a short walk from ice cream, coffee and a couple shops. If you don’t want to walk to the beach I do recommend renting a golf cart in advance.

If you have a reunion or multiple families this house is perfect!! There are 6 queen size beds and 2 twin! There is a downstairs for half of gusts only accessible if you go outside! We managed to work it so that we only used the upstairs!
The location is perfect!! A short walk to the beach made entire vacation! We rented a pontoon that we parked at dock on property! Had never been to OIB and this sleepy beach town exceeded our expectations!
Owner of this property was the most kind man! I texted him with only a few questions and he would immediately respond with a phone call! He was able to answer all of my questions!
If you love fishing and the beach all you need for this location is a fishing pole and a beach towel! Would love to go back!!!

Overall I loved the location next to the canal and the nice back yard. Stairs to front and rear decks need some work. I’m a large man and I was a little nervous about stepping on a few of the steps. Bobby’s info pack is the best I’ve seen in my many years of renting beach houses. It covered everything and was very helpful.

Our family loved this house! It was the perfect amount of space for us, our 2 kiddos, and dog! The house was immaculate and equipped with all the necessary supplies 😁 the canal view in the evening was goregous and so peacefully. Bobby was absolutely wonderful and responded very quickly to any of our questions! 10/10 would recommend for a family vacation 😊

We really enjoyed the location and the house itself. We brought our boat and we’re able to utilize the dock to keep it in the water all week and that was extremely convenient. We would certainly stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay in this classic OIB home. Sipping coffee on the deck was a great way to start the day. Kitchen and bathroom supplies were well stocked. The beach access was one block down from the street entrance and it was a quick trip down the canal with our boat to the dock.

This house was great. 13 of us enjoyed our stay. AC is amazing. Bath towels are not provided so take your own. The gas grill does not work just FYI. We had taken steaks to grill and didn’t get to enjoy that meal. We don’t like charcoal. Rent a golf cart and the ride to the beach is easy. We loved being on the water. The kids enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing. The neighbors are very nice. There is a long clothes line for hanging out towels and clothes after you wash them. Everyone had a blast and I would definitely recommend this house.

This house provided just the right mix of togetherness and yet everyone had their own space too. The owners were very responsive in dealing with a few small issues. We'll be back!

Such a perfect spot for a larger group
We loved our stay! I’ve been coming to OIB for over 40 years and this was the perfect spot for our group of young and older adults. The older group was able to stay upstairs and the younger crew had their own space downstairs. Perfect for the guys wanting to fish from the dock or surf fish after a quick walk to the beach. We loved being able to bring the four legged family members too. Great place for a family trip. Bobby is a great host who was quick to respond with any questions I had.

We enjoyed having our dogs with us at the beach. The view of canal and intercoastal waterway were beautiful. Very relaxing place. Property was as advertised and property manager was quick to respond. Make sure to bring bath towels and hand towels.

A Carolina Christmas
We stayed in this home to celebrate Christmas with our family. This house had plenty of room for us to spread out and is real close to the beach. We ended up only using the upstairs 4 bedrooms and didn’t need the downstairs bedrooms. We had less people join us than anticipated. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. We even cooked a 22 pound turkey in the oven! Please note that bed linens are provided but bath towels are not provided. We traveled by plane so we were unable to pack towels. Thankfully, my mother lives in Shallotte and brought us towels to use. This was the best Christmas we have had in quite a while. This house is pet friendly so we were able to enjoy time with our daughter’s kitten during our stay. The weather was beautiful! The sunsets on the beach were breathtaking. We would stay here again given the opportunity.

The location of the home is on the closer end of the canal opening into the waterway making it a great spot if you plan on bringing your boat! Owner is extremely fast to responding! We had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

Information about having to go outside in order to access first and second floors (no inside stairs) was an inconvenient with young children. Comfortable canal side stay
Nicely located property on the canal. We had plenty of space inside and enjoyed the back patios as well. We rented kayaks and launched from the dock. Bobby was a wonderful and responsive host!

Awesome beach house right on the canal!!
This house was perfect for us! It was right on the canal and the kids were able to put their kayaks in the water and paddle around. We did some fishing and caught/released several (not sure what kind) The views from the back deck, where we spend most of our time, were amazing in the mornings and the evenings. We grilled out and had our best meals right there around the large dining room table. Our fur babies loved it also and we were so grateful to be able to have them in a pet friendly environment. The washer and dryer work very well. There are multiple beach chairs and kiddie pools and the A/C was the BEST, as it was sweltering HOT during the days. It was such a blessing to be able to stay in your beach house! Thank you for the hospitality Bobby...you are the perfect HOST!

Had a wonderful time at this property. Was very clean upon arriving. Several bedrooms were very convenient for our large family as well as the outdoor shower. Enjoyed being on the canal and staying here!

Awesome vacation spot
This was exactly what we needed for out dream vacation. It's so difficult to find a place for 13 people and there fur baby's!! The owner was super to work with and the location was perfect. Loved fishing in the back yard as did the kids. I would recommend this to anyone looking to go to the beach!!
