The staff was amazing, small personal hotel with character and excellent location between beach and medina.
Our room was big and pretty but extremely dark due to windows only facing a dark indoor hallway. Felt like staying in a cave. Also hotel is beautiful but the common facilities like the lounge and rooftop area feel a bit dusty/dull and not looked after properly. Shame with such a beautiful building with lots of potential

Excellent location, just into the medina, but close to the beach & port.
An authentic riad with roof terrace
The roof terrace was easily accessible but the furniture was tired & needed repair. The photos show lots of sun loungers, but there was one broken one only.

Location just inside the Medina was good, not far to carry bags. The reception staff and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful - what I would expect. Bed was very comfortable BUT BUT BUT
Had to pay for advertised airport shuttle! Expected welcome mint tea (happened elsewhere) but no. We had chosen a room which opened onto the central corridor which was awful, no natural light or view, half the room at the top of very dangerous stairs / so unusable!! We made it known we weren’t happy with in the room / even offered to pay for upgrade but nothing happened - we were the ONLY GUESTS THERE!! Breakfast was ok but on a very shabby rooftop terrace - great views of beach but furniture was old and uninviting. One broken sun bed / no cushions so not able to spend any time up there. Public spaces downstairs - dark and dingy, didn’t use them at all!! Very very disappointed - will definitely return to Essaouira but will not return to this hotel. They had the option to turn our stay around - no other guests - we could have been given a better room but no. Photographs are very misleading. Beware.
