Maarten was an amazing host, and his vineyard is absolutely lovely. The views from the room and the property were amazing. You can't beat the sunrise from your window. We were lucky enough to have an evening barbecue in the garden with Maarten and the other guests. Maarten is passionate about winemaking and happy to share stories about how he came to the Douro Valley. I highly recommend this intimate vineyard.

What an amazing stay! WOW view of Douro valley + great hospitality + wonderful BBQ & wine (can make reservation in advance) + breakfast with beautiful view. We also booked the activity to visit Maartens’ vineyard and winery, which was a very interesting and educational experience. I could feel Maarten’s passion to create a unique experience at LUYT.

The room is located in the best possible spot, with an exceptional view. It was amazing to start each morning and have breakfast while enjoying such a beautiful view. Maarten is an exceptional and friendly host who was always helpful and made our stay very comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily stay here again.
One thing to keep in mind is that our room was shared by two couples, and the bathroom is located in a common space. The bathroom walls do not fully separate it from the rest of the room, which can feel a little awkward at times. As a result, there is somewhat less privacy than you might expect, especially when sharing the space with another couple.

Everything is wonderful, big thanks to Marteen who is an exceptional host with a 5 star hotel experience. Really human approach and definitely the best staying experiences in Portugal. And the view, ofcourse !
