The hotel staff were amazing--they really made the difference for the stay especially the front desk. The breakfast was good (scrambled eggs and bacon plus the usual meat/cheese cuts) and the lady running the kitchen was helpful. I enjoyed the pool a good bit--it is a really nice pool with plenty of room for guests to spread out.
The main thing about the LBV house is the location--it is a pretty good walk to town and back (200+ feet of elevation change) so, if you stay a few days as I did, you get a pretty good workout going up and down for lunch and dinner as the hotel does not open the restaurant for lunch or dinner. They do have sandwiches in the bar that are pretty tasty, so that is an alternative.

The staff were so helpful and accommodating. The hotel and room were faultlessly clean. The views were incredible but be prepared for an uphill climb if you have no car.
We were here at the end of August and the only food available was the breakfast. You couldn’t buy lunch or dinner. Snacks were available, toasted sandwiches etc .

The staff was very helpful. The pool was great on hot days. Was a lovely hotel.
Bed was a bit hard as were pillows.

Wonderful views, capped off by its excellent swimming pool.
Rooms were starting to look tired and in need of a refresh. Despite a request to fix a very wobbly toilet seat no repair was carried out (and was exceedingly obvious it had been an issue for some time).
Breakfast options also need a refresh
