The rooms were snug and cosy, with good facilities (individual lights by the beds, good hooks/storage, good bathrooms etc). We loved the little honesty shop on site and the kitchen/shared space was well stocked and very comfortable with great cooking facilities and so on. Also great location - perfect for an early morning ferry crossing to Mull, and perfect for exploring Lochaline which is a lovely little village.

Handy for the Corran ferry, serviceable for a night
This seems to have been built / refurbished quite recently, but in a very cheap and slap dash fashion. The one window (in the bathroom) refused to close and I had to ask staff for assistance in shoving it shut, it not being fitted properly. Everything has a general DIY not fully finished vibe, for example the wooden bunk ladder being rough and unsanded in parts and scratches you. Overall it’s fine but just bizarrely rushed looking, random screws in the wall and no art, bathroom sliding doors that only have a narrow opening, no charging points by the bed etc.
