Second stay at Om Shanti Residence. I love this place. Great rooms, very spacious. Huge beds. Great bathrooms. Large balconies. Nice chilled vibe. Five minutes stroll to the beach.

EVERYTHING! Very clean, efficiently run, reception desk permanently manned, spacious and peaceful balcony, mini fridge, kettle, hot water showers, triple sliding balcony doors, a/c + fan, daily house keeping if required - need I go on.

The staff were friendly pleasant and helpful. Air conditioning was a relief from the heat. Kettle tea and coffee in room. Late check out available.

The location of this hotel was fine, a short walk to the beach. Our 'family' room with 2 double beds was spacious. That's about all the positives we can muster.
We expected better from this hotel, and ended up leaving a day early. The bathroom was grubby. The toilet roll holder was in the shower. The towels were dark brown - to hide the dirt? There were just 2 hangers in the wardrobe on arrival - we asked for more and they just took 2 from another room, so presumably that room ended up with none! One of the sockets by the bed was hanging out of the wall and unusable even though it was needed. The room safe was just a drawer in the wardrobe with a lock on for which we had one key. The pillowcases appeared unwashed. We were on the 1st floor where reception was and there were usually 2-3 members of staff hanging out there right outside our room. They weren't noisy, but it just felt unnerving having eyes on you whenever you came and went. They took a photo of our emergency contact details on the back page of our passports when we checked-in which I've never seen done before and they insisted it was needed - hopefully for genuine reasons but it just felt a bit weird. They 'encourage' you to pay cash by informing you that there will be a 5% charge if you pay by card. No other hotel on our trip did this. I would definitely not return to this hotel.
