Stunning setting. Friendly staff, gorgeous pool. There was some construction next door, but barely noticed it. Breakfast was simple, but nice. Close to Ella rock, walk along train tracks to town. Great to see the trains pass through

Extremely friendly staff, spacious and clean room, quiet area and hotel, great swimming pool with beautiful view, extremely close to Ella rock trail.
Take into account climbing some stairs + breakfast was adequate, though would have preferred more vareity.

The view.
Disappointing stay at Cozy Resort in Ella – overcharged and poorly maintained. The only positive note was that they picked us up from Ella town upon arrival, but beyond that, almost everything went downhill. When we asked for local recommendations, the staff was completely unprepared and offered zero orientation on what to see or do in Ella. The room itself was plain dirty with windows and mirrors covered in splashes, the electrical outlets barely worked to the point where our power bank was not even fully charged after an entire night, the TV was completely out of order, and while the Wi-Fi did technically work, the connection was extremely poor. Sleep was nearly impossible due to an active construction site directly in front of the hotel and zero soundproofing, which meant stray dogs kept us awake all night. The food was another major disappointment: dinner was a complete disaster that tasted entirely like cheap pre-packaged convenience products, and while breakfast was okay, it was still the worst we had during our entire trip. The biggest rip-off, however, was their service pricing, starting with an outrageous 1,500 LKR per kilo for laundry that returned with our socks still visibly dirty, alongside ridiculously overpriced drivers organized by the property. Overall, it feels like this resort is solely set up to take advantage of tourists, and I would strongly advise staying elsewhere in Ella.
