Step through into the spacious living room and relax on the plush, modular lounge or sit by the large window on the inviting reading chair with a good book and a warm cup of tea. After a walk to the farmers market, cook up all your favorites in the gorgeous retro kitchen that comes fully equipped with everything you could need. There’s a large fridge, oven and cooktop, a coveted coffee machine, a microwave and even a dishwasher to handle all the cleaning up. Sit up at the kitchen booth style table and enjoy pancakes for breakfast or eat together in the dining room with a table set for six. Here, you can entertain in style with a bar cart loaded with glasses and a shaker or head out on the town with top bars, cafes, bakeries, and restaurants just a 3-minute walk away. There are three generous bedrooms within the home (1 is accessible through the backyard) offering comfortable beds topped in soft, quality linen along with plenty of space to unpack and make yourself at home. The 3rd bedroom within the home is set up as an office with a desk and extra monitors so your work from home station is ready to go! Bedroom one features a queen bed. Bedroom 2 features a queen bed while also offering a small workspace. The main floor also offers a separate office that offers a complete work-from-home setup with free WiFi to keep you connected and a bookcase filled with a mini library for you to enjoy during your stay. Make your way out to the backyard and downstairs to the third bedroom (with its own entrance separate from the house) where you will find a queen-sized bed and couch and coffee table set up, and another workspace with free WiFi - the perfect space for a hang-out area with views into the backyard. The property was cute and had everything that we needed. It would have been nice if it had a TV. luckly for me we where fishing most of the time.

So did I mention the location of this house is fantastic! Literally in the heart of OB! It was very clean and had almost all of the Amenities of home. The hot tub plus the 4th bedroom / living room areas also a plus. There is only a projector in the 4th bedroom/living area. This was a little bit of bummer for my children and a bit for us as well as we all fall asleep to TV most nights. Also without any noise in the house the 747’s flying overhead can be a bit loud. This older homes vibes were great though. I would book it again! ☮️❤️🙂

Super fun location. Very comfortable place. Wanted to smack the barking dog across the street but every neighborhood has one! This property was clean bright and peaceful. We enjoyed our visit.

Wonderful place with retro vibes and gorgeous MCM furniture. The spa did not function for our trip, but our host Evan was very responsive and did everything he could to make it right. Would stay again.

The house is super cute and it’s also in a perfect area! We were able to walk to the cliffs from the house and it was a quick drive to Gaslamp. The host was super responsive and it was a super easy to get in and out of the house. I would def recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed this spacious, well supplied home. Great outdoor spaces--upstairs deck with a view of the fireworks from SeaWorld every night! The lower patio and hot tub area is large with the right amount of sun and shade. The beach and downtown OB are a short walk. Be aware that the second bathroom is not part of the main house, only accessible from an outside entrance on the patio level.

Cute and quirky- pretty spacious! The 3 blocks to the beach is PERFECT because OB does have a bit of riffraff/transient population. Inside was a bit weathered/ probably need some new paint splashed about but the retro feel was calming and fun! Cleaning crew left big globs of hair and empty cigarette packs on the bookcases which didn’t give me great vibes about the thoroughness of their other cleaning. Some black mold build up around the shower ceiling and shower door. Consistent with a “beach house” but needs a solid cleaning. One suggestion would be more towels please! Only 6 towels for 4 people/5 days and no washer/dryer. We accidentally left some milk, waters and fudge in the fridge - so sorry about that! Remembered while boarding the plane.

Charming property with great access to the beach and local attractions. Food, cafes, and shops are all a short walk away. The GOOD: very comfortable beds, cool furniture. Great patio space and basement TV room perfect for entertaining the kids while the adults hung out. Surf boards and boogie boards available. Garage and off street parking convenience. The BAD: neighborhood is on departure for the airport with planes overhead every couple of minutes, not an issue indoors , but disruptive while enjoying the outdoor space. Previous guest had left the jacuzzi and mess with sand and oily residue making it unusable until it could be drained and cleaned as we were checking out (cleaner was unavailable during stay). Overall, I would readily stay here again, but would encourage the caregiver to follow up on maintenance (dishwasher, bathroom window, fixture in shower, shade downstairs and dead/dying plants throughout).

Enjoyed this spacious home for our family spring break trip. 10 min walk to the beach and a variety of eateries. Nice hot tub for relaxation. Wish there was a remote for the garage. No street parking was ever available.
