Staying at this place was the worst vacation rental experience ever. It took over 2 hours on the phone while waiting in the snow for someone to get me the correct entry code. The wrong one was sent to me on the arrival date. Once inside we found dirty dishes in the pantry (they still had food in them), the only sofa with a huge rip in it (which was covered up with a throw in the online listing, sharp broken tiles on the bathroom floor, a rickety/noisy bed that had stained bedding on it, a foldout bed with most of the springs missing that we’re supposed to be holding it together and so many more issues, too many to list.
It was in a good location for us and had a decent hot tub but that is all I have good to say about it. It’s an unsafe and unpleasant place to be stuck in when you have no other choice while out of town with 6 family members to account for. It was misrepresented and way over priced for what it is.

Things are outdated, holes in the walls, couch had large rip and the sectional was not even attached properly. Photos make the place look nicer. Otherwise the place was clean just run down. The codes that were given did not work for the garage or the door and required additional contact with Vacasa.

We love the house and the location Vail was a beautiful town more than we where expecting.
Unfortunately at the time that we arrive the code wasn’t working at the door I had to called twice with two different people.
Then we can found trash can outside to please the trash.
The code for the garage wasn’t working so we can’t use the laundry; I called and didn’t get help over the phone and they told me that some one will call me back but never did.
Overall the place was ok; the sofa was a litter dirty and ripped.
Many of the blinds was damage.
I think the house need to have a deep cleaning (I’m guessing here) one of my friends as soon as we get to the house start coughing and continue to get worst every day but only when we were at the house and more when she go to bed or even in the sofa.

I have never had so much interaction with a property manager before, and to their credit, I found Vacasa very responsive. The owner of this property could put some very minor effort in to make this property terrific.
We had issues with the garage door on arrival. It was brutally cold, and the folks renting the other unit couldn’t get in either. Vacasa responded quickly and helped with that, whether it was the cold killing the batteries or what, the snow removal folks mentioned the problem with the garage doors was ongoing.
The electronic key lock to the unit only worked occasionally, and the maintenance tech who came the next day was similarly baffled (there was a key in a lock box that was the backup).
The bottom door shelf of the refrigerator was missing altogether, an irritant with four adults who cook in as it constrained space. There was no gas in the grill, but it was after hours … and we just couldn’t be bothered.
The front wheels were missing from the bottom tray of the dishwasher. With the heavy stoneware dishes, this made loading a chore and the only way the dishwasher ran properly was if we propped up the front of the tray with wine corks — the maintenance tech was unable to resolve this before we left, but candidly I didn’t insist on.
I’m used to vacation properties being, er, well loved, when it comes to kitchen stuff. Enough dishes to serve an army but no crock pot, no pan larger than 8”. Not well equipped for cooking. There wasn’t a single GLASS (only seven plastic glasses) in the unit and coffee cups. Really?
There was no towel bar in the upstairs bath (missing altogether).
All of these issues could easily be paid for if the owner would bother to install weatherstripping around the door in the living room (the visible gap when the overnight lows were in the minus teens was not fully resolved by the dog bed we put in front of it or leaving the thermostat at 80F). Similar issues upstairs as the “closets” are simply uninsulated spaces under the eaves and we were able to use towels to block the cold air from there. The space was tolerable but not comfortable.
On the plus side, the mattresses seemed fine to us (I think they have been replaced since Vacasa took over). The linens and amenities were nice, consistent with other properties from Vacasa.
The TV and internet were fine.
The on-demand/endless hot water helped offset other shortcomings.
The jacuzzi is fine.
Caveat emptor.

I’m glad I didn’t pay more for what we got
