About this condo rental
Located in Sandbridge, this attractive condo for $256 per night is a great choice for your next break. Welcome to Dolphins and Dunes, conveniently located right off the large glistening pool, where you will also find top of the line Viking gas grilling stations and beautiful teak outdoor furnishings to enjoy off-beach time in the sun with your family! This condo is beautifully decorated with large comfortable furniture, including a full size gaming table with bumper pool, and fully stocked with everything you need to start your vacation off hassle free! The living area includes a couch that seats 5 - 6 people and can convert to a queen size bed. It is not a pull-out, the sectional pieces move to create a bed if desired. The master bedroom features a king poster bed, and the second bedroom includes a twin over full bunk. Each room will include it’s own large flat screen TV with great movie selections, and board games. Be sure to take advantage of the game table, wireless internet, your, and more! Dolphins and Dunes also includes the use of all Sanctuary amenities such as all three pools, courtyard Viking gas grills, 2 fitness gyms. You will receive two parking passes, one reserved for this condo and one open parking in a covered parking garage with extra parking and street parking. **All three swimming pools open annually from Memorial Day through September and may vary depending upon the weather. PLEASE NOTE: This condominium does all work during the off season. PLEASE NOTE: THE SANCTUARY PLANS TO OPEN ITS POOLS AND FITNESS CENTER MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND THROUGH OCTOBER 1. THE CONDO ASSOCIATION HAS THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE POOLS AT ANY TIME AND WE ARE UNABLE TO CONTROL THIS. For the most part, our stay at the condo was very nice. It was quiet and the location near the pool was ideal for our family of two small children. However, I was not impressed with the cleanliness. Quite frankly, the condo was filthy. The rugs in the bathrooms were covered in sand when we arrived, food spills in the fridge, hair and flickering lights in the bathroom. One bathroom only had one working bulb. It was very dark and very dirty. The blankets on the couch had an odor along with old spills on the couch. On our final night there, I checked under the master bed to make sure we didn’t leave anything, and much to my surprise, I found someone’s shorts hanging from the bed frame that didn’t belong to our family. I did reach out to the rental company, and they promptly messaged me stating they would send the cleaning personnel back the following day. By that day, we had our stuff moved in and didn’t feel comfortable having someone cleaning around us. It should’ve already been done.Also, the refrigerator would occasionally leak water on the floor and no water and ice hookups on the fridge worked. We will not be returning to this unit.

Our stay at "Dolphins and Dunes" was very comfortable and very convenient to be oceanfront. There isn't much commercial on the 5 mile sandbridge stretch, so you'll need to do a 15/20 minute drive to get to major shopping. Not too far to main part of Virginia beach other. The apartment was a good size and was nice to be located next to a pool. The downers are that the pool can get crowded, there are a lot of mosquitos and biting insects (given the proximity to the wildlife refugee and because Sandbridge is essentially wetlands). The benefit of staying at Sanctuary complex is that two of the four restaurants/place to eat on the strip are located in the complex and across the street (Mexican Restaurant (Jose Tequilas) and an American Grill (Baja). For beach goers, it has a nice long stretch of beach that doesn't get too crowded like main part of Virginia beach and the water was pretty calm when we went there. For those who like to fish the Little Island Park pier is right next to the complex and is about 5-10 minute walk depending if you enter the pier from the parking lot or from walking down the beach. Overall, we had a good time and the property managers were very helpful and were proactive in making sure that we checked in okay.

Our stay in Sandbridge couldn't have been better! The condo had everything we needed and more. The decor was lovely, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were fabulous. Having access to the pools, bay, and beach within walking distance was amazing. It was awesome to give our kids some freedom to explore in such a safe family setting. Have a few restaurants in walking distance was also a nice treat. If you are looking for a lovely beach vacation, I would highly recommend these accommodations!

We booked this for our family of four, somewhat last minute and I was surprised a place this nice was still available. The resort/complex is outstanding, and this unit is great. Ground floor so easy access to the beach and garage without too much effort (it is one flight down, but you don't have to rely on the elevators). Very spacious, right off the Building B pool which my kids loved, short walk to the main pool and either side entrance to get to the beach. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Fortunately the rental company reacted quickly and within about 30 minutes provided us with keys. A dead battery was the culprit. The unit also has very poor internet service. Not a problem except when trying to call the rental company about the door issue. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.

The condo is clean, organized and huge. We were not allowed to use our outdoor patio or pool because the floor was being resurfaced. There was a big, yellow “caution” tape sign across our patio glass doors. We were also not allowed to use the pool or grills on the condo floor. The building is huge and you go through a maze to get anywhere. This did not add to the ambiance. We were not informed ahead of time of this problem

This was a nice trip & great place to stay. I unfortunately the pools and pool bar etc were not open. Beach was cool - stayed over spring break. VA beach boardwalk is abt 25 min drive. Location at the end of road next to state park.

Nice, clean, comfortable, well appointed, modern condo. Wish we could have stayed longer. Super easy access to the beach. It's an interior condo, so not a lot of light (or cell service) but very convenient to the pool and grills if that's your thing. I imagine it's quite noisy in season. Was disappointed that the hot tubs were not open, though. Great kitchen for cooking which is good, as food delivery seemed spotty.

Many communications and many confusions. Things I was told did not exist. I stuffed a duffle bag with all sorts of paper goods just to find it was all available. Kitchen soap all there with a new sponge including dishwasher soap. I was told a few times that a place across the street had breakfast lunch and dinner so we brought no food. That place only opened for dinner. That would have been fine if we had a car but we didn't. Many places did not deliver to our address. Pool bar never opened nor did that pool. I never found the Jacuzzi. I brought a bunch of towels which I did not need for they were provided. Never saw a person to change the sheets or towels which is listed as complimentary. The pressure to leave the premises by 10 am due to cleaning was a waste of a day. You sign up and pay for three days ,what you get is two days because you can't check in till after four. The directions for our condo was so confusing cause there were no signs. I studied the map and location of our condo before I left home is the only reason I knew the way . since we did not have a car the going through the parking deck made no sense.Once inside the condo it was wonderful!!! The beach ment everything to me and we most certainly spent all our time walking and swimming.All in all the accommodation was perfect! Next time I will know exactly what to expect. The owners also left salt and pepper with spices which was a nice surprise.

This was our 2nd stay in these condos and our first stay with this reality compantly and condo. The condo was beautifully fur ished. It had a beach wagon and 3 or 4 chairs. There are a couple laundry baskets.There are a few kid dishes few plastic containers. They give you a small thing of dish soap and sponge. There is a keurig and a regular coffee. The place was very clean EXCEPT for the floors. We walked barefoot and i happened to glace at my children's feet and they were FILTHY. Inoticed a mop and bucket and a swiffer. After using 12 swiffers sheets i got it looking clean. I then redid it the next day and finally had it clean enough that our feet remained clean the rest of the stay. That was my only real disappointment was the floor's cleanliness. I honestly tried to book it again for the following year and it is already booked!

Great Getaway Spot!
With an easy check in process, we arrived at the Sanctuary after hours due to traffic on our way down from DC. Surprisingly spacious and well appointed, I was so thrilled at the amount of breathing room available in this well appointed condo! My kids didn't have to share a bed, adults got their own spaces, and many different lounging areas so we were not on top of one another. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook-in for the week (one of the adults is a chef, so this is big praise!) and we wanted for nothing as far as comforts went. I did have a small issue with cell signal adn wifi, but the office handled it immediately even when reported after hours. Being beachfront was key for our family, and the free fishing pier right next door was an unexpected bonus. Our family will absolutely stay here again!
