When the property is being held for you, it obviously cannot be rented to someone else. Therefore, like cruise, tour packages and airline tickets, when booking/reserving a vacation rental home, you will usually need to make a full or partial payment upfront in order to hold the property. Normally this is not a problem, BUT if you have to cancel your trip (especially at the last minute), you should know that reservations are NOT refundable. There are ways to protect yourself: Consider purchasing Trip Cancellation Insurance for added protection in case of weather or emergencies. As Owners, who self-manage our rental property, we will consider cancellation requests: Reservations NOT made for High Demand Summer Vacation months (June, July and August) are eligible for a refund, at Owner's discretion. Refunds of 100% if 60 days, and 50% 30 days prior to cancellation will be considered. This helps us provide a fair and equitable rental experience for our guests to enjoy.
