This beautiful resort features New England shingle architecture making it a perfect fit among Newport's abundance of historic Colonial homes and 19th-century mansions. The historic mansions of the Newport Gilded Age are open for tours and offer a unique glimpse into the family homes of the Astors, Vanderbilts, and other prominent families of the era. Guests can also enjoy boating, fishing, sailing the Narragansett Bay, croquet on the lawn, a cookout at the resort's barbecue pavilion, or walk across the street to the Newport Fisherman's Wharf. At Club Wyndham Long Wharf, these spacious one-, two-, and three-bedroom resort suites comfortably sleep four to eight guests and range from 403 to 1,075 square feet. Suites feature various bedding in the master and guest rooms, with each offering a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. You will appreciate the privacy of separate bedrooms, the economy of a kitchenette or full kitchen. Plus, washer/dryer in some suites with laundry facilities available onsite for those without. With TVs throughout, most suites offer separate living/dining areas, and some have multi-level floor plans with stairs. Just down the street, experience seaside shopping, dining and entertainment on Thames Street, or catch a charter boat out of the Newport Harbor. Enjoy shopping at the Brick Market Place, or New England heritage at the Museum of Newport History. Ghost tours are also available. Guests will certainly travel with ease as the T.F. Green Airport is a short 40 minute drive away. There really is something for everyone at Club Wyndham Long Wharf. Kick back in the lush indoor swimming pool with soothing hot tub, or sunbathe next to the outdoor swimming pool. The resort's private surround-sound movie theater is the place to catch a flick. Keep up your workout routine at the fitness center and enjoy some family fun in the game room. The laundry facilities at Club Wyndham Long Wharf offer guests the opportunity to pack light and miss out on those added airport baggage fees. Items to note: *Our Pools and hot tubs will be closed from March 8th , 2024, until July 28th , 2024, for renovation. We are also doing an exterior renovation for our Main building at the Long Wharf resort. The bed sizes/layout can vary within this unit style. If you need a certain bed layout, please let us know. * Resort amenities are available, except where prohibited by state or local mandate. Almost new refresh, very clean and super convenient to downtown so no need to ever having to pull the car out.

Loved our stay here, super convenient location, in walking/biking distance to Thames St and Bellevue Ave, Cliff Walk, International Tennis HOF. Quick drives to the awesome summer cottages of the Gilded Age and famous Ocean Drive. Room was clean and spacious, parking location and availability was great. Our son uses a wheelchair, and accessibility was wonderful. Loved walking over to Storer Park to watch the sunset and boats, and down Washington St with all the beautifully restored 18th century homes. Newport is a gem, we will return for sure!

The property itself was great. The room was not ready at the promised time, but once we got in, it was as described (although view is of the parking lot, not the water.) But booker beware - the "host" of the property is not actually the host. Koala is third party booker for Wyndham time shares and the "host" has ZERO interest in accommodating requests. Our original reservation was for 3 adults and a child. We had a last minute family emergency that required one of the adults to have surgery, which ultimately changed the travel plans for everyone. We were still within the cancellation policy and in hindsight should have just cancelled the whole reservation, but we were traveling for a wedding and were determined for part of our party to go. When we requested the change, the "host" refused saying the Wyndham system wouldn't allow it. Fine. We kept the reservation as is and we were prepared to just check out one day early. As we got closer to our arrival, we asked for the name on the reservation to be changed from mine to my husband's. By this point, he was the only one able to make the trip due to the medical emergency. The "host" first tried to charge a $100 change fee, then came back later and refused to change the name on the reservation, blaming "Wyndham policy." The host did promise that there would be a note in the reservation, allowing my husband to check in without me, no problem. When my husband arrived, not only did the property have no record of him checking in without me, but when they called me to confirm that he could check in they were shocked that we were refused a name change to the reservation and said that is absolutely not their policy. So if you are looking for location, this is a great place. But I would never book thru Koala again. Awful customer service.
