In this location, you have everything you need within walking distance. The property features hardwood floors throughout, a fully equipped kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances, brand new beachy-chic furniture, two living rooms, large flatscreen TVs in the living rooms as well as in the main bedroom, furnished patio with gas BBQ, air conditioning (which most places do not have), and much more. Things to know: Twin daybed This property is managed by Vacasa Seasonal Inc. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) Overall, an enjoyable stay for an extended family vacation of 12 (8 adults, four kids) to San Diego. The house is split into two levels, with three bedrooms and two baths downstairs and two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. The kitchen was well furnished to cook, eat, and make coffee. The washer and dryer was also nice to have. Location on Mission Blvd between the bay and ocean was fantastic, with only a 2 minute walk to either. The only complaint is the extremely tight space in the garage. Yes, it can accommodate two cars, but all passengers must exit the vehicle first, and the door leading to the front of the house is inaccessible when both cars are parked.

This property is in a great location. Easy check-in process & plenty of room for our large crew, 4 couples.
The issues we had were that 3 sinks and 1 shower/tub was clogged. Numerous messages to sent the 1st day. We did not have anyone reach back out to actually schedule a time to come in and resolve until the 2nd to the last day. We had unclogged the shower/tub by then. It was highly encouraged in feedback to the Vacasa that all of the sinks and tubs be snaked. Clearly there is an issue. It was nicely appointed, clean & the bedding was comfortable & it was correctly advertised, which can sometimes be an issue. We would stay here again. Nice picnic table area for outside dining or playing games. Only thing missing was a rooftop patio. But we LOVED the location! Right by Lifeguard station 21, for a quick hop from the unit on Mission Blvd. to the beach!

I loved how I never drove and made food almost every day. We were close to the bay and the beach. We were far enough from the pier and Belmont that the beach had fewer people.

Property was perfect for 8 adults and 4 children but Vacasa was slow in fixing fire alarm going off our 1st full day in this property. We had to vacate during the day because alarm was so loud. alarm was fixed early evening. This was not the best way to start our 8 day vacation. Also Vacasa was unresponsive during the booking process and shortly after in answering questions. It was a very frustrating experience dealing with this property Mgmnt Co. Will never go thru them again.

The location is always excellent in Mission Beach. This rental had plenty of space for various spouses and a room for the adult children to share (3 beds in a room).
Two things to consider - for property management, we could not get the garage code to work for parking, so we had to run to the other side to manually open, then manually close without hitting the ground sensors. For guests - there was not an option to load the garage with luggage prior to 4pm check-in time. Thankfully our previous rental let us keep our luggage in their until check-in. I could this being an issue for those traveling in straight from the airport.

The accomodations were just what we were looking for. The condo was clean and perfectly located. However, parking is a terrible problem. It says that it has a garage for two cars. It is super narrow (as stated in the small print) and there is little space to make the turn into the garage. When looking for street space, we had to go 1/2 mile away.

I never would have booked this place if the description would have been accurate or if I had been able to ask the property manager some questions before booking. I initially sent a question saying I was trying to find a place for our extended family that included my 87 year old parents with mobility issues. I wanted to know about access and stairs. I received a form reply that said nothing. I tried to call but after waiting on hold for an hour I gave up. I had had several properties rented out from under me (I later learned this was comic con weekend) so I booked it. That was my mistake. I eventually was told there were “about 12 steps to access the main level.” I assumed that was for between the two levels of the condo. In reality there are at least 17 steps to get to the front door of the condo and the condo is on the second and third floors. The kitchen and main living area are on the third floor. Once we got my parents up to the third floor they only left once because it was an ordeal. They were basically trapped in the condo. The listing should have accurately described the access situation for the condo and that it is not a good option for anyone with mobility issues. If Vacasa would have responded to my questions or answered their phone I would have known this and found someplace else.
I had never been to Mission Beach and I did not expect the neighborhood to be so busy and loud. There is a lot of traffic and parking is very difficult. The unit has a garage fortunately. It is however narrow and accessed by the alley. The alley is very narrow and often blocked. The ocean and the bay are very close by which is a real plus but do not expect a serene experience. It seems like a fun area but not the best choice for our group that included older people.
I was able to visit the property in early July and saw how crowded the neighborhood was and how unsuitable this condo would be for my parents (and this is before I knew how many stairs there were to access the main living area). I immediately contacted Vacasa to see if they would consider letting us move to a different property that they manage that may suit us better. I fully understood the cancelation policy dictated I would lose half of the condo cost if I canceled, but I was hoping they would be compassionate and work with us and apply our payment to a different property. They were not compassionate. This is a very expensive condo. I could not walk away from that much money.

The location is great, you are about 2 minutes from the beach, and 2 minutes from the bay. The house was plenty big enough for my family of 7 adults and 1 child. The reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is, #1 the air-conditioning can't be set cooler than 72, and it was pretty warm. #2 the dishes were so dirty, I had to wash them by hand, #3 there were only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 bathrooms. But. Even so it's a very nice place, and I will definitely stay there again.

The property was great, we had a small problem with the water heater that management took care of for us. It was a wonderful experience all around. It fit with what we needed. It was within walking distance to lots of places to eat and a grocery store. VERY close to the water. Loved it! We would definitely stay again.
