We loved our stay at Cacao Boutique Hotel and we are so glad we chose to stay here! The room is lovely, decorated with style and comfortable and the inner yard is green and pleasant, ideal to have breakfast. The staff was super responsive, very friendly and kind and immediately ready to answer any question or request we had. Thank you!

The hotel is quiet and that was probably my favorite aspect of my stay. The staff were kind and the breakfast was good, although the coffee was not, which is rare for Guatemala. The hotel is on the eastern edge of town and a far walk to most of what you might want to see/do/eat/drink in Antigua.
I expected it to be way more lux for the price. I must have been taken in with the photos on the website. Our room was on the ground floor, and the window faced the open courtyard; if the blinds were open guests could have seen straight in. It felt like being in a cave, and not in a good way. The room looked like it could have used a refresh all around. The closet offered robes, but no hangers for clothes. The rooftop is pretty enough with flowers and plants, but you can't see a view and there isn't a lot of comfortable seating, or places to relax or chill out other than your room.
