Our new favorite short-term rental in Magnolia when we come to visit family at the top of the hill. Loads of PNW authentic charm and warmth, which does means some scratched walls and uneven floors, but feels truly like a home vs others that are pretty sterile.
Looking forward to a future visit where we can enjoy the upper forest and front decks!

This is a beautiful and comfortable home with spacious decks and a quiet backyard and plenty with nice deck furniture Great location with good walks around the neighborhood.

Our group consisted of 6 adults and 3 kids, Two of the kids were ages 2 and 13 months. There was plenty of space for all of us. The house was well equipped with everything we needed including baby gates and great kids toys. It was very clean and well taken care of. The outdoor deck was awesome, just wish the weather had been a little warmer so we could have enjoyed it more. The beds were comfortable and having a bathroom on each bedroom level was great. There are LOTS OF STEPS, but we knew that before we arrived and it all worked out great. We were fairly close to the sights we wanted to see with the kids, the zoo and the aquarium. Being able to park in the driveway was great. We would stay here again.

We would definitely stay here again. Beautiful neighborhood in Seattle. My family flew in a few days early before our cruise to Alaska. There were 9 of us. Plenty of room. Easy to get Uber to the cruise terminal and downtown to the market. We had a little snag when we got there because the lock didn't work, but I received assistance immediately. Beautiful home. If I'm back in the area and it's available, I will book it again!!

The house was pretty but there were so many safety concerns that it made it hard for us to really enjoy ourselves.
I am surprised that they would be allowed to rent this property with all the safety issues:
1)Straight drop-off from the stairs outside. There should really be a rail there.
2) The shower upstairs is in a small claw foot tub. There is very little room to move and the curtain rod is rickety not to mention that the shower curtain drags the tub floor.
3)There is a tiny landing at the top of the stairs. At night there is a motion light that is quite a bit delayed when exiting the room right next to the bathroom. There should be a safety gate at the top of the stairs.
4)The tree in the backyard is Beautiful. Unfortunately two people in our party were looking up at the tree and stepped off the patio jarring their backs. They should have been paying more attention maybe but the step down in the same color as the patio is a little odd.
5)The cobblestones on the side of the house are uneven and creates a walking hazard.
6) There are not rails on the steps going all the way down the front of the property.
This house could be great with more attention to safety!

This property was perfect for our family vacation. I loved that there was a crib, changing table, booster seat adapter, and baby gates provided for our little ones (3 years and 10 months). The property itself is absolutely gorgeous and the location is great. Management was incredibly helpful and responded to our requests and needs in a timely manner. I’d highly recommend for a family vacation, but be warned there are a lot stairs.

We loved the character, location and the outdoor front and back entertainment areas were fantastic!

Great view from front porch. Very cute older home, great style. Great range & kitchen for cooking our fresh produce and crab legs from Pike’s Market. Beautiful backyard to enjoy. Park within walking distance for kids and play area downstairs.

worked well having two living areas (with bedrooms & bathrooms ) separated by the main floor. The outdoor spaces were impressive!

The house is great. It's an old Seattle home very picturesque of the city charm. A family member had surgery and we needed to be close to the Hospital for visits. It served our purpose well. When booking I didn't pay attention to all the stairways. That was the downfall. Other then that it's great. Oh... one other thing. There was trash in the back strewn all over. Upon arriving there were 2 white trash bags left in the driveway that animals had gotten into.

Nice home in general. No handrails for front steps & going downstairs. Railing on front porch too low to have children out there. No extra toilet paper. Only 1 hand towel for both bathrooms. No kitchen towels. No salt & pepper or sugar for our coffee. No bathroom on the main floor wasn’t ideal but doable. Beds were comfortable. Not really kid or older person friendly as I had to have help down the stairs each time.

Great place to have a small family get together for the holidays. Although small, the kitchen provides most of all the hardware, glassware and dish-ware to host a holiday dinner. Living and sleeping rooms we’re comfortable and quiet. Dog park within walking distance, and doorway gates helped tremendously with the grand baby and our family dog. Views out front are breathtaking. The back gardens are colorful in the fall and lovely. We were not able to figure out how to turn patio lights on out front or the stair lights out front and back. We did have a flashlight that we needed to use often. Overall definitely would reserve again.

First thing you notice about the house are several flights of stairs to reach the front door. Be prepared to carry luggage up the stairs to the front door where you will find more stairs up to the master and second bedroom. A narrow flight of stairs downstairs to the lower two bedrooms and den.
Pluses to the house are the great, quiet neighborhood and location close to Seattle attractions. The kitchen appliances are fantastic including an InstaPot.
The house is showing its age and we arrived to a bathroom bulb needing replacing and the central air only seems to reach the main and upper floor leaving the lower level with room heaters.
We hope the owner considers including a home manual to explain how certain features of the home work. The property management company was generally responsive but we stopped wanting to bother them with questions that could have been answered by instructions on site.

Loved the spaciousness of the property. Enjoyed both the inside and the outside living. Great that there was a grill we could utilize! Lots of stairs, so not for those who have limited mobility.

The owners of this property have thought of every need to make the rental experience easy and enjoyable. Typically we need to purchase (always more than we can consume) items like olive oil, ziplocks, even aluminum foil. They even had poop bags available for our pet (which we didn’t use because we brought our own). We felt a spirit of generosity we haven’t felt in other rentals here and abroad.

It was a great house for Christmas vacation. We were there to watch our daughter in the Nutcracker. The house was mostly perfect for our group, but we got stuck in a huge snow storm. So I would recommend a few things the house needs. First, a snow shovel to clear the steep steps, a mat for the front door, and better instructions on what to do when the hot water goes out. We spent 24 hours dealing with no hot water in 20 degree weather. Luckily the house heat works great!

No hot water, never got fireplace working, heat doesn’t work in certain rooms (including a bedroom) in December, another parties’ dirty socks and underwear in the house in several rooms that our children and dogs kept finding, pile trash left outside blocking the back door in the rain, landscapers with a loud leaf blower at 7:30am outside the uncurtained windows looking in and waking the kids up (on a Friday when instructions said landscapers only came on Wednesdays)…
My family had a pretty bad experience at this rental w/ the no hot water being the biggest issue. We had 1 full day to spend in Seattle (2 nights, 42hrs total in the house) for a significant price hike during Christmas week and arriving in the early evening after a 12hr travel day with 2 adults, 2 small kids, 1 grandmother and 2 dogs, all we wanted to do was eat dinner and bathe the kids before bed so we could head out early the next morning to enjoy the city and our itinerary… we immediately found out there was no hot water (it was in fact ice cold water stinging your skin, seattle in December in an old home) on the property. We called the rental company and they told us a technician would be out within an hour to fix it. All we got was a call from a really condescending agent giving us elaborate instructions to remedy it ourselves. He had us climbing outside in the 3 level yard in the rain, mud, and cold with flashlights for over an hour checking switches and units w/ no fix. Turns out it is a known issue by the homeowners who have an earthquake switch, but it wasn’t checked before our stay to make sure hot water was running… so after the exhausted circus trying to fix it ourselves (including sending us a YouTube video they insisted we watch, which showcased a totally different system and switch process) instead of a technician coming, they finally logged the issue and said it was now too late for a technician to come tonight but one would come asap in the morning bc we needed to leave by 9am to spend our only day in the city… off to bed even colder and dirtier than we were before…
1st technician was a no show, so we left the house still filthy around lunch and lost half our day, w/ 1 adult staying behind all day to wait for the technician. Finally fixed close to 3pm, so almost 24hrs of our 42 hour stay w/o hot water.
They texted us at 3am and offered us a tiny, insignificant refund of our trip bc they said “the issue was fixed immediately” by their staff.

We loved staying in this beautiful home in the city. Perched on a hill, we had a great view of the city at night. There is outdoor seating in the front and back and we enjoyed eating out on the patio. My children were disappointed there was no pond as described, but loved having a park right across the street.
The home was beautiful inside and out. We had a problem with the gas not working at first but Turnkey took care of the problem right away. There are a lot of steps to get up to the door and then inside to get to the bathroom on the upper floor or in the basement, so make sure everyone in your party can handle that.

Beautiful, comfortable stay in Magnolia
We loved our stay at this gorgeous home in Magnolia! We booked with a group of friends for a wedding weekend, and this house was everything we needed! Comfortable private rooms, plenty of common spaces indoors and outdoors to eat, read, and hang out together, a fully-functional kitchen with everything we needed to be able to cook meals, etc. The house and property itself is just gorgeous and we loved sitting on the porch or in the living room taking in the view. It felt like a true getaway and was very quiet without being remote at all. Because of how hilly the area is, we used rideshares more than we had planned (vs. the bus to get into other parts of town), and I would recommend good shoes and being prepared for some hills when walking to get coffee, groceries, etc. in the neighborhood. Overall, we really loved our stay and would recommend for a family or large group.

This is a charming property in a charming neighborhood. I want to live in Magnolia when I retire. We simply loved staying here. What a treat. We nicknamed the home "Redwood Bungalow" but know that this is a love name and does not reflect that it is a spacious, well-appointed, polished, and comfortable home. It fit my family of 5 perfectly. Off-street parking was a boon as was the ability to lounge around in the outdoor spaces. Some things to be aware of: 1. The upstairs shower/tub is an old clawfoot tub that requires you to step over the tub edge to get in and out. For the able-bodied folks only! 2. We could not figure out how to turn on the lights over the table on the back patio. No biggie - we still enjoyed dining under the giant redwood. 3. Be sure to the Nutty Squirrel for gelato, the Serendipity Cafe for any meal, and the Metropolitan Market for groceries. I miss being there, darn it. This home made for such a joyful visit to Seattle for my family.

We had such a wonderful time! My 19 and 22 year old daughters, and best friend and her 17 year old daughter all stayed for a long weekend away! It was only 10 minutes to the Space Needle and 12-15 minutes to Pike Place and the waterfront. We enjoyed our lazy mornings at the house and making brunch in the well-appointed kitchen, and one evening we brought back fresh crab and had a fun game night. We loved the Hygge game!! And sitting outside and enjoying some wine and snacks. The Sonos speakers allowed us to enjoy music both inside and outside the house, and my daughter enjoyed reading under the tree in the backyard. One constructive comment, was that the full size bed downstairs could use a new mattress or topper to make it more comfortable. The beds upstairs were wonderful and we slept beautifully in those! Overall, loved our stay and would rent again! Thank you!!
