Nestled in Avon, this charming house for $278 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Sandy Paws 394 Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' Come and dig your paws in the sand this year when you stay at Sandy Paws! You'll enjoy beautiful ocean, sound, and lighthouse views from the top deck or you can choose to kick back and take a soothing dip in the hot tub with a nice, cold beverage. Relax, while a tasty treat is whipped up in the roomy kitchen, newly renovated for 2024 and complete with a breakfast bar. Climb the spiral staircase to the primary bedroom loft with a jacuzzi tub. Additional bedrooms are found on the first floor along with two baths. Three TVs, a DVD player, and a stereo/CD player will provide hours of listening and viewing entertainment. And when you are ready for a break from the beach, enjoy access to the OBR Community Pool! Sandy Paws offers high-speed WiFi for your devices and provides convenient under-house parking as well. When you're ready to have some great vacation fun in a fantastic property with all the trimmings, consider staying at Sandy Paws for your next great vacation in the Outer Banks! THINGS TO KNOW The pool is open seasonally from April through the first week of October. Dates are subject to change. This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The location of the property was perfect!!!!!
The beds were very uncomfortable except the bed in the master bedroom on the third floor The rugs on the bottom floor could really use a deep clean There were no extra towels. There were no beach towels anywhere …..upon arriving. I noticed the coffee pot was dirty. The washer and dryer was quite old. We expected some welcome pamphlets, or a book to tell us what was around the area or even something telling us where the beach access was we had to walk around to find the beach access. overall, we did enjoy our stay. It was closer to the ocean than we expected. We just wish the house would’ve had more amenities. We went down there for my daughter’s 15th birthday. I couldn’t even make her a cake because there were no cake pans to do that. There was no can opener on site. There were no lights on the first deck on the second deck there were two lights, but only one worked.
The lack of amenities did not ruin our stay. We made it work ….again The view was outstanding.

The house smelled like marijuana and cigarettes, the sheets were dirty and there were dead cockroaches on the floor. Vacasa did nothing to help but drop off a bag of sheets.

Had to rent a different house this year as the one we usually rent was sold and is no longer pet friendly. The house is a lot smaller than the pictures show and the inside furniture was very uncomfortable. When we arrived on Sunday the hot tub was leaking. We called/texted every day for 4 days asking them to come look at the hot tub since we couldn’t use it nor could we sit on either deck because of the constant dripping of water. Finally on the 4th day someone came and we were told we could not use the hot tub. No credit was given to us for the inconvenience. House was not clean upon arrival. Floors were sandy, dishwasher had dirty dishes in it, garbage was never taken out, coffee pot was full of coffee and coffee grinds. No easy access to the beach, only 4 chairs on the deck to sit on, could not change the temp of the a/c so the house was always freezing.
We have rented from Outer Beaches Realty several times in the past and have always been happy with the service/house. They have since been bought by Vacasa, and we will never rent another house through them.

This house was extremely dirty upon arrival. Smelled like cat pee when you walk in. Dog hair and human hair in every crack.

It was great waking up to the sound of ocean waves and beautiful sunrises. Some updates needed (refrigerator didn't cool) and could have been cleaner (smells like wet dog upon entry and a mattress needed cleaning). Overall, we had a great time and would return again!!

This house is cozy and adorable. We loved the wood paneling and the decks, which provide views of both the ocean and sound. The kitchen is well appointed and the main living space has nice tile, which makes for easy clean up with humans and dogs coming in from the beach, which is a short walk away. We enjoyed our stay.

We met the owner upon arrival who was very gracious and let us drop lines in the water while we waited to check in since we arrived so early the night before. We love this home. Master bed is incredibly comfortable. Water pressure amazing. View and deck is unmatched. New furniture is great too! Wifi did not work at all and hot tub jets did not work but we were too busy catching live bait for island fishing. This house is perfect for couples or small groups that appreciate sound front experiences. No other house on the island sits on the water the way this one does. We will be back but probably moving to the island permanently next year anyway. Thanks to Charlie the owner and Outer beaches for always providing such a great vacation! We love this house because if fits our larger family`s needs. Last year we were able to have a family reunion, allowing everyone to visit with my mother-in-law who is suffering from alzheimer`s, which was truly a blessing. We love the location! Amazing views of the Sound. Very private and quiet, feels secluded. It has been the perfect getaway from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Lots of activities for the kids. Love the ability to rent kayacs & bikes, so we don`t have to bring our own. Sound Therapy has become an annual family tradition.
