Located at the top of Bumblebee path, it's a 3 minute walk to the beach. The Sandy Dog has a large, open floor plan and great views of the ocean and Pt. Reyes. You can watch the sunset over the ocean while sipping a glass of wine, read a book in the window seat listening to the crashing waves, or soak in the hot tub with a view of the beach. This home is so lovely and comfortable that you will not want to leave. The main floor includes a large living room, with ample space for a group, a dining room, sunroom, and open kitchen with panoramic views of the ocean. Downstairs are two large bedrooms and a large beautifully updated bath. The owners love dogs and welcome yours to the Sandy Dog. There is a nice size fenced yard and even a cookie jar with doggie treats. Kids will enjoy the boogie boards, skim boards, wet suits, sand toys, puzzles and board games. Your entire group will love the Sandy Dog! **We do not allow boats, RV'S, campers to park alongside this cottage

The property is overall very nice. Our stay, however, was significantly impacted by the property manager's unresponsiveness and due to the smell of a body odor type stench that was so strong and pervasive in one of the bedrooms that we had to take turns sleeping in that room.

Loved everything about our stay… dog lived it too. Beach is a short walk, went multiple times each day. Fenced adorable backyard a plus. Bed super comfy. Super relaxing and just what we needed

This is a very clean and comfortable home. Beautiful view of the ocean! We took our 3 grandchildren on this trip while their parents were traveling in HI and enjoyed the easy walk to the beach. For us grandparents walking up and down stairs, Bumble Bee path with a loaded cart and beach exhausted us! The hot tub produced heavy bubbles, not sure why. Parking is directly in front of the home, not the side. Met neighbors who were pleasant! We had a wonderful time! Dillon Beach was very clean and dog friendly. People were respectful there. There were 4 wet suits in the shed which fit out 10 year old and 8 year old who learned skim boarding! One skim board was broken on the bottom, so only one to use. Very comfortable home!

We had a great time at this home. The location is wonderful, super easy walk to the beach or the little market which has delicious ice cream! Kitchen had everything you need and the backyard had a lovely garden and super relaxing hot tub. We thought the beds were all very comfy and the bathrooms were great. Only a couple small cons, bathroom mats were wet and dirty, owner said they would drop off clean ones and never did. Bedding also had some stains… The deck wasn’t able to be used due to some repairs, which happens, but again the property manager didn’t follow up to tell us when we could use it. Also if you have a baby or little kiddo I wouldn’t recommend due to the stairs being right in the middle of the living room so it was hard to block off. Overall very nice place!

I’ve been in four different Dillon Beach homes in the last decade and stayed in three. This by far has the best view! The couch and window seat are cozy spots that are hard to leave. However you can cook and do the dishes with the 180 degree view right in front of you. The hot tub is located in a super cute garden in the back. The hot tub is not entirely private but still provides a view of the ocean. If you can’t or prefer not to do stairs, this place is not for you.

Great location, convenient to the store and walking path to the beach. Very clean and stocked with essential pots and serving ware. Good selection of games that we used while enjoying the ocean view and sounds while waiting for breaks in the rain to visit the beach. We'd stay here again!

Very well stocked kitchen, comfortable home, clean hot tub. Loved the short walk to the beach. Loved the outdoor warm shower for rinsing sand. Loved the hot tub. Such a great place to make memories! I want to go back when it isn’t raining. I overpacked kitchen gadgets. They had it all. Needed more towels but property manager delivered quickly. Excellent place to stay in Dillon Beach.

Five of us friends came to Sandy Dog to celebrate a birthday. The view is FANTASTIC! The place is very clean and has everything you can need. Beds were comfy, I slept great, no complaints from anyone. Walk to the beach is very short and easy. Walking distance to the local grocer/restaurant/gift shop. Soft serve ice cream delish! Have had a very nice lunch there in the past. Easy drive to Bodega Bay if interested. Area was very quiet, enjoyed the hot tub. This is an amazing place, don't worry about just one full bath. You can work around that (1/2 bath upstairs) because this place is worth it in every other way. I'm hoping to be back with my family. Thank you, Linda!

We had such a wonderful time! It was the perfect place for a local weekend getaway! It was cozy during the rain, and just a short walk to the beach! The kids enjoyed the wetsuits and boogie boards!! Definitely want to come back for another getaway!! Only thing I would say is there isn’t a washer or dryer, so not enough towels for the hot tub and shower for everyone. The towels don’t dry hanging due to the humidity… but otherwise no complaints!! Clean house, decorated nicely, very cozy! Thank you!!

We had a wonderful time at the Sandy Dog! We have three kids between 5-10 years old, the five of us were very comfortable at the house with plenty of space to sleep. We made a few meals at home with great room in the kitchen and to sit in the dining area or the sunroom. The close access to the beach trail made it easy to spend time at the beach each day. Very easy proximity to Coastal Market & Kitchen as well. We will be back! Thank you for the great experience!

Beds were bad for all 3 of us. Queen was a rock, king was broken down soft, twin major lumpy. Best bed was futon upstairs but small for 2. Did it any way. Dishwasher doesn’t clean anything. Even dishes in the cabinets were dirty. Don’t think others noticed when unloading just put them away. Even checked internet on how to use since no instructions were provided. Dishes were still dirty. Left it running for 3rd time when we left. Too bad cause very nice place otherwise.

Enjoyed the stay however only gave us 3 towels for 3 people and a 3 night stay. No access to the washer or dryer which made it a challenge given the towels never dried due to the moisture climate. Other than that place was clean. Not much to do in Dillon beach. Don't recommend a long time stay unless you really like to just chill.

We had a family reunion and divided time between Sandy Dog and another property nearby. This was a perfect stay for our family with a nice relaxing time in the hot tub under shooting stars, the rolling fog. Any issues we had were promptly addressed by John, the wonderful property manager who was super helpful. We loved this house and wished we could’ve stayed another week.

The property was very nice! Updated, pretty, homey. I LOVE the futon and chairs that look right out over the ocean. It's nice that they allow dogs. There is one neighbor that doesn't like noise (at any level), but the other neighbors were great. Back yard and deck is nice. Hot tub is nice. Part of the patio is even enclosed with a table and 6 chairs. There is an outside shower! The shed has a few wet suits and boogie boards and even a surf board! They have extra chairs for the beach in the guest bedroom. Lots of room. We had 5 adults and 1 German Sheppard. Enjoy!

The house is very clean and has been updated. The location is perfect, and only a short walk down to the beach. We were able to use the boards and wet suits which the kids couldn’t get enough of. They all had such a great time, and can’t wait to go back again.

Just what we needed!

Just what we needed!

As soon as we pulled up to the adorable corner home, we were in awe of the breathtaking views that were even better able to see when you enter to upper level of this property. The open concept with wrap around windows and natural bright light, made this space so welcoming and relaxing. We had everything we needed to cook from home and yet so close to the store to send the kids off to have self-serve ice cream for dessert. The beach is walking distance down a steep, yet distractingly beautiful path- “Bumblebee Path” that you forget the hike. We were able to bring our 4-legged friend and roam the beach freely with other friendly dogs. I enjoyed reading from my kindle on the front porch, back porch, living space, in bed, and the sun room- 2 books worth- it was so relaxing here! Perfect location and just enough space for our family of 5! Can’t wait to come back. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
