I particularly like the overall darker decor tone in the public space. Authentic, but not too stuffy.

Hotel was very nice. Great hotel gym. Only complaint is that the room was super small and the Queen size bed was definitely not a Queen size. Felt more like a full size.

The hotel, staff, food, and drinks were all top-notch. The wine at social hour is always a nice Kimpton touch. The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star rating is because every morning I’d wake up with a sore back. It was something with the bed (maybe it was almost too soft?). I just couldn’t get comfortable.
The food a the restaurant, Fitz’s, was really good as well as the bar at Fitz’s - it had a old bar/pub feel to it and the live music made it better.
The hotel is 2mins from the Russell Square station. My favorite part about this hotel is it seemed to be more in a residential-type area, meaning we didn’t see many tourists.

Dear Management,
I am writing to express my concerns regarding my recent stay in Room 5** at your hotel from December 28, 2023, to January 2, 2024. We chose your establishment primarily for its reputation for cleanliness and particularly for the high standards of linen maintenance.
However, during our 5-night stay, it appeared that the bedding in our room was never changed. We noticed the same marks on the bed linen from our first night persisting until our departure, which suggests that the linens might have been merely tidied up rather than changed.
Is it the policy of your hotel not to change the bed linen during a 5-night stay? My wife is particularly sensitive to bedding cleanliness, and this aspect is crucial for us when selecting a hotel. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the management of linen during our stay.

Beautiful older hotel with amazing detail in every inch of this building!
The staff went above and beyond. Social hour and breakfast were fabulous. We definitely will return and highly recommend.

I have stayed here around 26 times. All good except for the breakfast service. Long queue into the hallway like a 3 star all inclusive in the costas in Spain. Definitely not a good look for IHG 5 star property. Pleass sort this out. Otherwise - still my fav hotel in london

We were disappointed that the beautiful exterior did not match the service nor the stay internally.
- upon checkin, we were told we would “have priority” for housekeeping and they would call us. At 3pm, we checked in, and our keys were obviously ready but no one had called after a long unshowered day of trying to stay awake waiting.
- the temperature in the room was either freezing or melting, no in between
- pillows were TERRIBLE and the bed sheets were made without a sheet and short sheeted so you could never be fully covered
- the bar “the Fitz” was inaccessible to hotel guests without a reservation. Fine, but upon check-in it would have been nice for someone to say they have private events in every room and could they help us make an rsvp for our own hotel! It was as to come back to a beautiful lobby and be told they could not accommodate any guests for a night cap. Just a very unfriendly vibe like you were an outsider and not a guest the whole time.

The bathroom was large and spacious compared to the size of the bedroom. However, the bathtub itself wasn't that big.

Rooms are tiny. There is really no space for two people.

We booked the property, with our family, needing 2 rooms close to each other as we had our children sharing a room alone.
We asked for adjacent or interconnecting rooms on the booking, we called ahead twice to remind the hotel.
We arrived and the rooms were nowhere near each other and they'd downgraded one of the rooms in an attempt just to get the rooms on the same floor.
We asked to see the rooms and they were VERY disappointing. Small, dingy and both had unpleasant odours.
Sophie the front of house manager couldn't provide any solutions.
We didn't even check in.
We walked out and booked the Rosewood in Holborn instead which is a FAR better hotel and thoroughly recommended as they were very accomodating and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Across from a lovely park, 2 blocks from British Museum, 4 blocks from Oxford Street shopping, next to a Tube stop, and a first class, gorgeous hotel. Make sure to include the breakfast - the buffet is fabulous. You will eat well, skip lunch and save money.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful old building. We were able to check in early after a long journey, which is a huge plus and the social hour another lovely touch.

Hotel was STUNNING and the staff was consistently friendly and attentive. I was visiting London for the first time and this provided an excellent home base for exploring with easy access to the tube. Great breakfast at the cafe.

What I expect from a Klimpton. Everything perfect. Just spent 1 night. Would have liked to have stayed when I wasn’t jet lagged and able to enjoy more of the hotel.

The property lobby and staff were wonderful until we had a problem with the bed as the mattress cover was very lumpy so we went to remove it and found there was NO MATTRESS....just a box spring. We asked the staff about it and responded with quote you can speak to the manager which was not classy at all as we picked the Kimpton Fitzroy to have an incredible experience and was ruined as we both could not sleep

The room was very small and terrible view!( premium room??)
We asked them to change it but they couldn’t.
Pillow covers were clean but pillows itself had a bad odor!
What an amazing building but I wouldn’t stay there again because of the poor management!

The Kimpton Fitzroy was Fabulous inside and out! It was luxurious and opulent. The location was perfect and in walking distance of many tourist attractions.
We were allowed to check in early and were upgraded to a beautiful suite as it was a special occasion. Doreen on reception couldn’t have been nicer. We were given a complimentary cheese board and a ballon! We were so touched.
All the staff we encountered were extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, served in a beautiful warm and welcoming atmosphere. We can’t praise the hotel and staff highly enough! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return.(probably around Christmas!) Thank you All!x

Beautiful hotel. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was so spacious, loved the decor, very comfortable bed and all round the highest of standards. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The hotel was nice- public rooms very lovely. Staff was very nice and friendly. Our room (a suite) was nice enough. Bed was comfortable and bathroom very large. We did not like the fact that the large TV was on a floor stand that completely blocked the window so you could not see out. Also, we thought we had booked a room with a balcony but were told at check-in that there were no rooms with balconies but clearly it appeared there were. The hotel was nicely located close to a tube station and the British Museum, but other than that we were not thrilled with the location for restaurants and shopping. Not a very atmospheric area.

Beautiful hotel, great service, excellent breakfast.
We had a free upgrade to a suite and had all the amenities you imagine, spotlessly clean and had a free minibar.
Pastry, card and Prosecco were a lovely touch, thank you for making our anniversary celebrations extra special.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, it is very central to all points of interest in London and right next to the Piccadilly lly line on the London metro system also called the underground ( the best and quickest way to get around London ). The hotel is beautiful

We stayed four nights. The hotel is quite amazing. It has been restored to its former glory and is quiet breathtaking. It is steeped in history involving the Titanic. If you visit just ask.The staff are both friendly and very accommodating as is the hotel. We loved the location with a tube station just around the corner and a bus stop across the street. We even walked into the West End. The hotel has bars and restaurants and all the other amenities that are now standard in most hotels. We had a fabulous time. Totally recommend the Kimpton Fitzroy.

We had outstanding service from the staff throughout our stay. Expensive but worth it especially enjoyed our dinner at Galvin and our marvelous breakfasts.

We cannot fault this hotel. We have stayed a number of times and each occasion is just as enjoyable, if not more. The hotel itself is outstanding, staff are amazing and always make sure your stay is memorable - they go above and beyond which never goes unnoticed.
I would recommend Kimpton Fitzroy London to anyone. We will be revisiting again soon

“Superior” assigned was disappointing. Not what was shown in photos. Is felt way smaller. At least not for the price. Venues were reserved for private events, so only has one option for dining in the hotel.
Ryan at the hotel entrance is the best. Always with amazing attitude and very helpful.

Beautiful hotel, excellent service. It was my parent's golden wedding anniversary and they upgraded them from a 1 bed suite to an amazing corner suite and gave a bottle of champagne. My parents were thrilled and it made their weekend so special. The hotel is stunning with well designed rooms (even though the regular rooms are smaller) and all the staff were happy to help. Highly recommended
