Hatchet Resort

Excellent place to stay. Rooms were good size. Close to Jackson Hole.

There was no room air conditioner, A fan was in the closet for cooling needs. There was no refrigerator provided, There was no microwave oven either. The room was very nice though and the bed was very comfortable. The television didn’t work until the gentleman at the front desk came and fixed something on the back of the set. We ordered a bagged lunch one evening at the Whetstone restaurant, which served dinners. We inquired about it at the Grill, their breakfast and luncheon restaurant. Our waitress told us to go next door to the Whetstone to pick it up. We went there, it was locked and no one would come to the door. We went back to the Grille and we were again told to go back to the Whetstone. We went back to the Whetstone and after some time knocking on various doors two young ladies came out and told us to go back to the Grille. We did and again the people at the grille said to go back to the Whetstone. We next went to the front desk and talked with the gentleman there. He called the Grille and asked them why they were sending us to the Whetstone when they should be giving us our bagged lunch at the Grille. We went back to the Grille and they gave us our lunch there. Apparently the mixup was due to the waitress at the Grille thinking that we wanted to set up to order a bagged lunch, not pick one up, even though we clearly stated that we wanted to pick up a bagged lunch that we had ordered the previous day at the Whetstone restaurant.

We stayed here for three nights during our trip to Grand Teton. We arrived late in the evening and were able to easily find our room access information posted at the office door. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully themed. We especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the nice shower after long days of exploring. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and a perfect part of our vacation. We would happily stay here again.

Staff in Grill and Whetstone are EXCELLENT!! So very nice, the Grill breakfast is outstanding! The woman upon check in and check out left a lot to be desired. Zero personality, far different from the servers in the dining facilities.
