Excellent location. Everything is walkable from here.

This is an adorable property that is in perfect walking distance to all the cute shops, art galleries, and restaurants in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms have been beautifully updated, and it’s very quiet at night.

I liked this hotel because of its warmy feel.

Recently renovated and very clean, comfortable bed and soft sheets, good breakfast including fresh coffee, close to everything, and good customer service.

Nice location near Carmel shopping area. 20 minute walk to beach, but very close in general. Check in was easy, room was clean.

Cannot have a restful night's sleep when other guests leave the bathroom light and fan on all night. Walls are thin and the low humming noise from the fan reverberates throughout the complex.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is in a PERFECT location. Market/deli with the best tri tip sandwich, outdoor plaza all within 3 minutes walking. Beach was 10 minute walk. Property is clean and quaint. Beds were not comfortable...way too hard. That was the only negative.

No Surprises. I've stayed here before. It's a nice place and I like the location. Nice restaurants and easy walking nearby. I often get a sandwich at the deli next door for whatever my outing is. Waterflow etc, in the shower and bathroom is above average.

This motel isn't anything fancy, but it is certainly more than I would expect for lower-priced accommodations in a popular tourist spot. Very clean, very conveniently located, and well maintained. Fantastic staff. And, a free breakfast that is definitely more than your typical Entenmanns and instant coffee offering of smaller sites. The only nitpick is that parking can be a bit of a challenge if you go back to your room late -- although this was on a weekend night for us. If needed, you'll find parking offisite, but you may have to walk an extra quarter block or more (which, given the area where this motel is located [Carmel], is not a big deal).

The location and included parking were why we chose this location and both were great features. The location is perfect for walking to Carmel's shopping and restaurants. The beach is only a 10 min walk and it's a 10 minute drive from Monterey airport. The area is great and felt very safe. The outdoor seating area was much appreciated and we used it to gather with others in our group. The breakfast was basically a very simple continental, plus scrambled eggs and sausage. The cons are no soundproofing in rooms - we heard everything from our neighbors and felt like they were in the room with us. People walking by were very close and it was very loud. The rooms have little air circulation and no A/C, so when it's warm the rooms are hot and stuffy. All in all, fine for what we wanted, but I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a romantic, private stay.

Excellent location and easily walkable to all shops and restaurant. Slope down to beach so uphill when walking back to town.

Walls are thin, can hear rooms next door and the heater turning on/off, no A/C, rug looked like it wasn’t vacuumed. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Very walkable to explore Carmel. Good parking. Room cleanliness and comfort. Would definitely stay there again. manager was friendly and helpful.

Good location in Carmel. Property is old and walls transmit lots of noise from other guests including snoring at night.

Very nice property. Close to the shops and dining. Parking was sometimes difficult as there are few spots.
