Hotel Gaivota is located in an outstanding location in Ponta Delgada for convenience to shopping, restaurants, the harbor, and the historic city center. It is also adjacent to a small grocery store that had premade dishes and space to eat outdoors. It was quicker and more affordable than some of the restaurants and food Can be purchase to prepare in the apartments. There is also a pharmacy very nearby and they were helpful in getting some medication for a cold.
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful! They small apartments were spacious and had a wonderful balcony!
I thought the breakfast times were excellent-until 10:30 am! The selections were varied each day and they included an à la carte menu.
Parking is available for 10 Euros/day underground near the hotel.
I would definitely return to Hotel Gaivota on a future trip to Ponta Delgada!

We booked this hotel in an emergency due to a late canceled flight. Everyone involved was super helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The spa was very nice. All staff are friendly and courteous.

We stayed in a corner room on the top floor. The views were magnificent with a wrap around balcony to relax and enjoy the views. Rooms are always very clean. Staff is great and very friendly. This is my fourth year staying here and my fifth stay. Highly recommend The Gaivota.
